Just wondering if anyone else likes that site. I have fun going on there to kill time between now and when my league drafts in August. I have the #3 pick this year, so it's fun to try to see what players may be on the board when my turns come around. Last year I had the #2 pick and my draft played out fairly similar to the mocks I did.

That's where I do all my mock drafts. The ESPN ones have too long a wait and a lot of the time half the people you're drafting with are computers. Also you get to pick what spot you draft in. I'd highly recommend it.

I first started using it last year around June and I almost found myself addicted to it. I was constantly running through mocks. Another good thing about it is that you can go back and look at all the mocks that have been done on there, whether you participated in them or not. It's definitely good fun for anyone looking to toy with their draft strategy.

It's the best. ESPN mocks are garbage, I can't stand them. Calculator is definitely the best site I know of to practice fantasy football strategy. I'm doing one right now practicing at the 3 spot. Got Michael Turner, Steve Slaton, and just missed out on Randy Moss and Reggie Wayne, so I took Marques Colston late 3rd.

With my main league, we can only keep 1 player chosen in round 6 or later. I got Kurt Warner in the last round, but guys like Chris Johnson and Matt Forte and Steve Slaton are being kept, so my #3 spot will be a little tougher to pick at I think in the early rounds because so many major RB's will be gone.

Nice. I've never played in a keeper league before, but that sounds exciting. Now that I'm about to go to college I might start a keeper league up with whoever is into fantasy football.

My keeper league is two players kept, one after fourth and one after 10th. I pushed for a rule so there each keeper has to be different (As in no 2 rb's). My keeper is Micheal Turner in the 5th and Jay Cutler in the 11th. I had Chris Johnson in the 12th but oh well.

How do you guys "practice strategy"?

Just mocking?

Just toying with taking different players at your spot. Seeing if going RB/RB or RB/WR or RB/QB in the first couple rounds works better at your spot or not. Once you do a few you start seeing trends at certain spots and you have a little better idea what to expect. Obviously it's not all that serious, because the people you're mocking with probably aren't the people in your league, but it's just fun to see the possibilities

What he said ^^^^. It's mainly practicing which positions to take in which rounds at a specific selection in the draft more than anything else. It shows what is doable, and what isn't.

Pretty much. Just playing around with different situations like "Okay if I go for a WR early what are my chances of still getting a solid RB a little later?" or "If I'm picking towards the end of the first/top of the second what can I expect at the end of the third/top of the fourth?" etc.

I went to try this out. Then decided I don't care about mocking until August.

Yeah, true it is a bit early to be mocking. But also, if you draft on this site on June and July you can get great practice in. The bad thing about practicing in August is the rooms will get full 20 minutes before a mock starts, its crazy.

On FFCalculator? I've never had to wait more than 5-10 minutes in August.

Oh yeah. Many times in August I will type in random letters for my team name because I don't have time to put in a team name or else the spot will get taken by then. Right when the rooms open up they filled almost instantaneously in my experiences.

Mocking for the most part. I also know what players I'm targeting based of my feelings of their team this year as well as previous fantasy points.
