New logo?

I don't have anything in particular in mind, but I just think:

is sort of bland and the site could a logo that's recognizable and more dynamic. Even just adding some color other than gray would help.

I like Bulldogs sketch (no mpg1995 not the one with flames on it) but I was just wondering, why is there a soccer ball in the letters?? I see why you have a football and a basketball, but why a soccer ball??

I'm going to go a "computer design course" this year, meaning that I'm going to work with photoshop alot. Can give it a shot when I've figured it out how to control the program :D
