How painful is it to be a Titans fan right now?

its pretty bad, not going to lie, I quit watching the games and will not start until they win one. fortunately my 2nd team is new orleans, and they are really good right now. I also live in northern KY, so I get to watch the bengals, and all of their games have been really good.
you can go look at the why tennessee sucks thread on the main NFL board for my analasys on why they are bad.

Your sig has Al Davis trading away the pigeon. That pigeon flew down the feild with some impressive speed meaning it will never be traded away from the Raiders.

Vince Young...QB of the future or are they drafting one this April?

I think he has earned the job for good (and I love that he actually went out and won it instead of just having it handed to him). he is playing very well against some good D's, and barring a collapse of truely epic proportions, i am pretty sure the job is his going forward.

What do you think the value would be for Tennessee to try to pick up a second running back?
If I recall, this is Lendale's contract year and I don't see him as being a great complement to CJ. He simply doesn't offer much outside of goal line and very short yardage situations.
CJ is a remarkable player but I'm concerned with durability for a player whose game hinges so heavily upon his speed. A few simple nagging injuries could severely hinder his play. He just strikes me as someone you don't want out there all the time because of how devastating injury would be, even a light one.
I'm not saying go use your first round pick on a RB, but do you think Tennessee lets White walk and tries to pick up a complementary back in the 3rd-5th rounds?
Grats on the winning streak as well, at this point it's a race to draft position and to see if VY gets the starting spot. I think it's better to draft a little later and feel confident in VY for the future.

Very true. I fear for Young's career without CJ in the backfield.
An injury to CJ would bring the entire team down. And the way things go these days in the NFL, a running back who lasts the entire season on his own is a rarity.

we spent a 5th round pick on Javon Ringer this year, and he looked really good in the preseason (he was originally our kick returner, but he has been hurt a lot since then). he is going to be the #2 if Lendale leaves (not a given, we don't know if the CBA will be resolved or not, if it is not than Lendale is an RFA and I don't think he is worth a 2nd round pick).
as to CJ's durability: he just hit 200 carries this week, so if he gets 25 a game the rest of the way he will hit 350 total, I think personally that is too many, but: 1) he did not get a lot of carries in the begging of the year, through his first 6 games he averaged just under 16 carries a game, he is fresher than a lot of other backs, and 2) he has no real injury history to speak of, either in the pros or college, and I don't like assuming a guy will get hurt just because he has high usage.
bump for VY and that great last drive (I was at the game, it was incredible!!). Britt also played really well

they dug themselves into this hole, now they get to try to dig themselves out of it. if they do not make it they have no one to blame but themselves and the ****ty start they had.

Albert Haynesworth.
Kyle Vanden Bosch.
Jevon Kearse.
Tony Brown.
Those four defensive linemen made up the Tennessee Titans “Chain Gang” in 2008. As the heart and soul of that 13-3 squad, there was truly no weak link.
A devastating 13-10 home playoff loss to the hated Baltimore Ravens unofficially put an end to the Chain Gang.
Minutes into free agency, Albert Haynesworth bolted to Washington signing a seven year, 100 million dollar deal.
Countless injuries caught up with Jevon Kearse who was benched after four ineffective games.
Kyle Vanden Bosch recorded his worst statistical season as a Titan unsuccessfully rushing the passer against the double teams Haynesworth used to manhandle.
A solid season for Tony Brown wasn’t enough to keep the line from taking seventeen steps back while turning an aggressive, dominant defense into an uninspired squad playing on their heels.

Ok, so the Titans are rumored to be interested in Plaxico Burress. Anyone got any thoughts on that and/or information?

I personally don't have a problem with what Plaxico did, I'm very pro-gun ownership, I'm just worried the Titans are going to overpay another receiver past his prime to fix a problem which isn't really huge anyway only to have it turn sour. I don't wanna wish harm on anyone, but he is awfully old....
On an unrelated note, I'm noticing that the two people that responded to the Titans message board have Packers players as their profile pics.

Hell, I have a concealed weapons permit. I have no problem at all with carrying a gun. And what he did was stupid, but nowhere near deserving the punishment he got. They made an example out of him. The part I bolded is my concern. Bud wants to win a SB before he dies, which could be tomorrow, and he is willing to threaten the future of the team to do that. And I am a Packer fan first and foremost, but I am from Nashville and cheer for the Titans as long as they aren't playing the Packers.
