My team is absolutely baller and I did it in autodraft - in hindsight I regret forgetting to rank Chris Kaman and Jonny Flynn higher.
This was really gay - I drafted Blake Griffin who is out for a month. My team would seriously have won the championship if it wasn't for this b.s. injury.
PG: Chauncey Billups
SG: Brandon Roy
G: Russell Westbrook
SF: Carmelo Anthony
PF: LaMarcus Aldridge
F: Trevor Ariza
C: Emeka Okafor
C: Brandon Haywood
Util: Tyreke Evans
Util: Lou Williams
BN: Nate Robinson, Aaron Brooks (breakout season - glad he was autopicked), Martell Webster.
Trying to make some trades. Offered Williams for Courtney Lee, Brooks for Joakhim Noah, and Robinson for Jonny Flynn. Hoping to get 1 of these 3 to go through.
Any tips on sleepers this season possibly in my free agent market?

Matt, that lineup is sick. I love it. Can't believe it was all auto-drafted for you. Here's my handpicked team:
PG: Jason Kidd
G: Derek Rose
SG: OJ Mayo
SF: Jeff Green
PF: Amare Stoudamire
F: J.R. Smith
C: Greg Oden
C: Dwight Howard
Bench: Luis Scola, Aaron Brooks, Brandon Jennings, Rodney Stuckey, and Dajuan Blair.
In the process of trading Kidd for Bargnani to give me some more stats.

thats a crazy team Matt. How many people in your league? Was Melo or B-Roy your first pick?
I wish i had joined a fantasy b-ball league this year

We could still make a fantasy team on Yahoo.

That team is amazing unless you're in a small league. Too bad Griffin got hurt, I think he is going to be the real deal, I wish the Thunder could have gotten him.

I know...I'll give you my championship trophy at the end of the year I am sure you can use it as a dildo. All it needs is a little lube...

12 teams in my league. Brandon Roy #1 pick. Chauncey Billups #2 pick. Melo was my #3 pick.
Russel Westbrook in round 5. Griffin in round 6. Tyreke Evans in round 8. Ariza in round 9.

I am in 12 team league...not sure if that is small or not. First year in like 5 years doing fantasy NBA because I'm just really into the NBA now for some reason.
Also, I just traded Lou Williams for Courtney Lee today. Williams is currently shooting 64% FG and he is a career 42% shooter. I think the 76ers are overachieving right now...averaged 13 pts and 3 ass in 08-09.
I think Lee has a lot of upside on a team without much of a scoring threat. I expect Lee to get into a groove and really become a top 40 force this season.

I don't like that trade. Williams is due for a breakout season while Lee will be overshadowed by Douglas and Harris.

Lee has too really individualistic PG's running alongside him in Harris and Alston, that worries me. He does have more upside than Williams, although Williams has been really good this year.

The Nets traded away Vince Carter to get Lee - so I imagine he will get a lot of minutes.
I think he will have a higher FG%, more 3PTers, steals, blocks, less turnovers, and points at the end of the year than Lou Williams.
I know Lee is in a somewhat crowded backfield, but I do think he will breakout - he played great for the Magic last year and Lee is on a team that needs a scoring threat at the 2 - which is why they traded away VC.

We'll see how it plays out, but I wish you the best cause I don't have either player.

That's a pretty nasty team for a 12 man league.
I like the Lee trade, but I also like the Nets, so I'm fairly bias.

If I need penetration, I have the opposite sex at my call. Thank you for your concern.

It was relevant. Young Matthew here auto-drafted in a league where it's obvious people don't know what they are doing. A 12-team league where he drafted Roy, Williams and Billups? Deron Williams, a consensus top 20 pick by anyone who has ever watched a basketball game, was taken in the 4th round. And he gloats about it.

50/50 that say... Paul Millsap is available.

LOL I am 4 years younger than you are, Mature Alaynna.
Derion Williams was taken in round 2 #16 overall, Princess.

Sarcasm! I get it! And to think us young ones don't know anything.
Oddly enough, Deron was taken in round 2, #16 overall in my draft as well.

Rajon Rondo, Bos PG
Eric Gordon, LAC SG
LeBron James, Cle SF
Andrei Kirilenko, Uta SF, PF
Amare Stoudemire, Pho PF, C
Lou Williams, Phi PG, SG
Boris Diaw, Cha SF, PF
Luis Scola, Hou PF, C
Marc Gasol, Mem C
Danilo Gallinari, NY SF
Joe Johnson, Atl SG, SF
Josh Smith, Atl SF, PF

this is my roster as it stands now, the bottom has been reshaped by the waver wire, and I traded d-wade and calderon for lebron and lou williams. i think I came out ahead :)
as for wavers matt: in order
marc gasol (mem)
danillo galinari (averaging 6 3s a game, unsustainable I know, but he plays for D'antoni and is a phenominal shooter, he will get a LOT of points)
brandon jennings (he has been absolutely shredding it in the early going)
channing frye (steve nash is back, and you want any sun you can get)

I like lee a lot, but the problem is that he is a great real life player, but not a great fantasy player. his strengths are his D, but on offense all he really is is a spot up shooter. he will get you steals and 3's not a lot else.
I agree with Holder in thinking that Lou Williams will have a good season. Remember he's been behind Andre Miller before so he wasn't getting the minutes. He'll be able to rack up good points and assist totals but like Matt says a horrible FG%, Lee however will also likely have a horrible FG%. I think that Williams will have the better year.
In my 12 team league I got...
Derron Williams, PG
Al Jefferson, PF
Josh Smith, SF
Jameer Nelson, PG
Andrea Bargnani, C
Andrew Bynum, C
Jeff Green, PF
Eric Gordon, SG
Greg Oden, C
TJ Ford, PG
Lou Williams, PG
DJ Augustin, PG
Brandon Jennings, PG
Channing Frye, C
My team lacks the rebounding, which sucks because we have both OREB and DREB categories but besides that I'm doing fairly well.
As for waiver wire claims the best ones I've seen are...
Marc Gasol - He should've been picked up by now but he's a beast might outproduce his brother this year.
Danilo Gallarni - lots of 3's and pts
Brandon Jennings - I think the FG% is going to take a dive probably around 43%, but he'll be a great source for assists and steals.
Channing Frye - His numbers right now are pretty insane, I doubt he averages over 20 points but he should be able to get you 15-16 points with a couple 3s per game. His rebounding is sorta weak for a big man tho.
Ryan Anderson - good 3 point production averaging about 15 points a game, will probably lose playing time when Rashard Lewis comes back tho.
Udonis Haslem - He's boring but he'll still get you 13 points and 10 rebounds without killing any of your other stats.
Mareese Speights - He is extremely productive but has limited playing time, he's like the Paul Millsap of the East, his FG% should be really high so if that's an area of concern this would be a good pickup.
Hakim Warrick - He's the best PF they have, Kurt Thomas gives no offensive ability Warrick should be good for 15 pts 5 rebs a game.

Maybe it was a bad trade, but I have so many PGs on my team (Billups, Westbrook, Aaron Brooks, Nate Robinson) I had to trade one away.
His stats in the past 2-3 seasons haven't impressed me - we'll see what happens.
I have a TON to learn when it comes to following the NBA and fantasy because i haven't done it hardcore in so long. I'll learn from this trade - I'm pretty inexperienced in fantasy BB.

Soooo glad I ranked Okafor high in my pre-draft rankings. I knew he was going to have a great breakout season with an elite PG like CP3 and good talent around him. On pace for 20 and 10 tonight!
Its not a terrible by any stretch, it seems like Lee is going to have a really good contribution in the rarer categories (stl, blk, 3pt), the season is only 4 games old but he's averaging 1 blk, 2 stl, and .75 3pt per game.
Whenever drafting players I make sure my best players give a lot more than just pts/reb/ast, they should always excel in one of the rare categories (~1.5 3pt, 1.5stl, or 1blk) Winning those key categories usually is the key to a championship, my teams normally lose in points and rebounds because I prefer guards/perimeter players since they usually can produce steals and 3-pointers.

Okafor should have a good season.
Pick up Channing Frye or Ryan Anderson for 3's if they're available.
