14 weeks have been played so it is the right time to evaluate which players have regressed the most from last year.

I tried to select only players that were good or very good last year. All the players in this poll have not been equally awful, but some were monsters last season (Roos) and are mediocre this year. I also did not take injured players into consideration.

Jeremy Trueblood - Right Tackle - Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Michael Griffin - Free Safety - Tennessee Titans
Michael Roos - Left Tackle - Tennessee Titans
Ben Hamilton - Left Guard - Denver Broncos
Jay Cutler - Quarterback - Chicago Bears
Marcus Stroud - Defensive Tackle - Buffalo Bills
Juqua Parker - Defensive End - Philadelphia Eagles
Channing Crowder - Inside Linebacker - Miami Dolphins
LaRon Landry - Free Safety - Washington Redskins
Steve Slaton - Running Back - Houston Texans

Some other players have taken a huge step back this year but I couldn't put more than 10. This group includes:
Jarvis Green - Defensive End - New England Patriots
Vonta Leach - Fullback - Houston Texans
Donald Penn - Left Tackle - Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Matt Forte - Running Back - Chicago Bears (I didn't put Forte in the poll cause he wasn't that good last year IMO)

Corey Webster was absolutely superb last year so it was a shock to see him struggle this year, but as inconsistent as he has been, he has still been decent overall. Chris Gamble could have also been here but he has improved the past few weeks.

And my vote goes to ....

Marcus Stroud!

Stroud is getting a lot of blame for the horrid Bills run defense this year, but I don't think that's fair. What kills Buffalo are long runs, and that goes on their injury-riddled LB core where everyone is out of position (including Poz, Lord knows the Bills can't play anyone at the position they played all their lives...), and safeties that are poor on the run, especially Byrd.

I don't watch enough of the other guys to comment... :( But, I'd lean towards Slaton. So sloppy with the ball.

I give Justin Tuck an honorable mention as well. He had 10 sacks as a situational guy in 2007 then 12 sacks as the main guy in 2008 and then they pump $60 million into the defensive line and he get 4.5 sacks?

My vote is for Stroud as well. A lot of these guys were overrated to begin with but Stroud was one of the best DT's in the league and now he just looks inert.

Stroud has been horrible this season.
Tuck is not as good as last year but he's still one of the best defensive ends in the league. He hasn't gotten a ton of sacks this year but has still applied a good number of pressures and he's really above the pack in run defense. I wouldn't consider him at all...

I voted for Stroud, but it was very close. Trueblood, Cutler and Griffin are the runner-ups for me.

Michael Griffin with the Titans, really bad, often lost in coverage.
