The 76ers are one of 11 NBA franchises who can't bid on Lebron, Wade, or Bosh in free agency.
The other ten teams are
Celtics
Bobcats
Mavericks
Nuggets
Pacers
Lakers
Hornets
Magic
Suns
Raptors
The 11 teams will be over the NBA Salary cap even if they fail to resign all their players with expiring contracts.
The Suns put Stoudamire on the trade block so they could make a bid for Wade that's my opinion.

Good point Sitsifit Wall can change the franchise that gets the #1 pick in this years NBA Lottery. Teams like the Nets and Timberwolves have money and New Jersey signed Devon Harris to a 5 year deal and Johny Flynn was drafted by Minnesota this year. So I don't believe those teams need Wall as bad as teams like Philadelphia or Indiana but still I think Wall can make an immediate impact on any team none the less.

The Sixers should lose every game from here on out so they can get him.

Even if they finish dead last they only have a 25% chance of getting him.

I'd like to see the Pistons some how win the Wall lottery. We need a lot of work done. Rip and Tayshaun need to go while we need to get a legit 5.

It would be funny if the 76ers came 2nd in the lottery because we all know Walt's dad would start cussing at the T.V. just like last year when the 76ers passed on Ty Lawson.

A lot of teams need John Wall. The Nets included. I think he's a better PG than Devin Harris. Harris would also be great trade bait even with a 5 year contract because of his age.

The problem is that the Sixers are much better than their record indicates, and its only a matter of time before they're in the #10 overall draft slot.
They need to trade Iguodala and Dalembert for McGrady's expiring contract - that should keep them in the top 3 and give them a shot at 1st overall.

The Nets are the only team that doesn't have to pick Wall if they have the number one pick.

I disagree. He is 10x the player that Devin Harris is already. Furthermore, Wall is actually a pointguard, not an undersized 2 like Harris.
To a lesser extent, it would be like the Blazers passing up on Jordan because they had a bigger need for a bigman

The 76ers do need a point quarde so Wall would be a good fit. I think the bigger problem with the 6ers is the Iverson made the All-Star team, how the hell does that happen.

I think they're all set at PG, Jrue Holiday was a steal last year and he looks like he will develop nicely. You can tell he's a true PG, and he's already the best on-the-ball defender they have at Guard (although that's not saying much). Not bad for the youngest player in the league.
That being said, no chance they'd pass up John Wall if they got 1st overall.

It will either be the 76ers or the Pacers with the number one overall, because we all know the draft lottery is rigged.
With that said, Every team would take him first overall.. every team, including the Hornets.

How is the NBA rigged if the 76ers or Pacers wind up with the #1 pick?

Yea cuz everyone know the NBA wanted Durant and Oden to the Sonics (now Thunder) and the Trail Blazers.

Point Guard is not a need for the Hornets

The hornets would trade down and get New Orleans native Greg Monroe.
