I myself am a John McCain guy, that is if he makes it to the Ohio primary. If I had to list the best candidates mine would go,
#1 McCain
#2 Romney
#3 Ron Paul
#4 Mike Huckabee
#5 Fred Thompson
#6 Rudy
#7 Edwards
#8 Obama
#9 Clinton
I just want to know where you guys stand?

I think McCain is as close to an honest politician as were gonna get. Youngstown once had a congresman who was honest and did great things, however the government set him up and he is now in jail

He is a very good speaker, however has done nothing to warrant being a president. I laugh when I see his name as the democrats presidential nomination. He has done nothing. How can someone who has done nothing become president of the most powerful country in the world???

I think Clinton was one of the best presidents of all time...the economy under him was booming.
In today's world, all the old presidents are "great" and all the new ones are "bad"...its just the media. There is no president in the future that will go down as a
"great" president again.

Clinton also committed adultery, lied to an entire country, got impeached and invaded a country to try to get himself out of impeachment. The economy was in a recession his final year of office. I'd hardly say it was "Booming". Yea awesome president!
Walter

Funny - if you ask a democrat, Bill's one of the best presidents ever. If you ask a republican, he's one of the worst.
No one can deny that Bill was one of the coolest though. Like hanging out with him would be a good time.

Committing adultry (which stats say 72% of men do anyways) doesn't have anything to do with how he runs the country and it shouldn't taint how one reviews the work he has done for better or worse.
OMG A POLITICAN LIED!!!1
First of all, they have to lie. If they told the public hte truth about everything then people would panic and are too stupid to understand anything about politics. It is no different than athletes/coaches being politically correct with the media.
The economy being in a recession wasn't his fault, much like I don't blame Bush for being in a recession as a result of 9/11 (unless of course he was behind it as some conspiracy theories state, which I don't believe).

I mean the American people voted Bush to be President in his first term because they wanted more morals, ethics, and "standards" in America society and they voted in one of the dumbest presidents ever. I mean seriously, I had a higher SAT score than Bush, as do a lot of kids. I should be president (NFL Draft would be a national holiday).

WHAT!? What was Bush's SAT? I don't think you can go to an ivy league school with a low one yet alone get good grades at one. Bush was smarter than Kerry, just compare the 2's grades from YALE. I'm not sure what your SAT scores are, but a lot of kids don't have higher SAT scores than an ivy league grad. President Bush is not stupid. I get offended when people say that.

Bush only got into Yale because of his dad. He got a 1310 on his SAT, which isn't that impressive for a President of the US.
Every single President have been involved with some kind of war, so what Clinton did was not much different then what every President has done before. I'll be a first time voter, and I'm a registered Democrat. I agreed with most of what Bill Richardson had to say, but he just dropped out, so I shall see who sways me the most.
As for Obama, I agree, he has great speeches, and has a great voice for speeches, but he is not going to win my vote by that. I hate to sound like everybody else, but he has not done anything to deserve to be President. Since Virginia has an open primary, I do not have to vote for my political party, so if I decided to vote Republican, it would be McCain. However, of all the democratic nominees, Hillary is the most qualified for the job. I also think America would rather elect a woman, then an African-American. That's just me though.

I subscribe to the "one third rule" that is that of all voters one third will vote their party no matter who the candidate is but it's the middle third that determines the winner. I consider myself in that middle third.
Given that, I do not see anybody on the republican side that should be president, except maybe for McCain, but his own people won't nominate him. That leaves us with what's left on the other side.
That means the Clinton/Obama ticket has the best chance right now.
I did not vote for Bill Clinton in 1992, but when he was elected, I said at that time that his wife would make a better president than him. But will the fact that she is somewhat of a cold ***** keep her out? Maybe.

What has Obama done to warrant being the president? McCain is the best candidate there is on ethir side. The thing about him is, he is too old, and too honest. McCain is a true American hero. When everyone was playing politics with the war in Iraq and wanted to retreat, McCain was the only one with balls to say stay in there we need to win this war. Since McCain's Iraq plan the war has been as successful as it was in the beginning. Clinton and Obama have no where nead the experience McCain does.

If these are the names the dems are counting on in years to come I am very thankful that a republican will be in the white house for a while.
The only other big name there is, is Ted Kennedy. No one would ever vote in a murderer in the white house.
Hillary is a joke.
Obama has never done anything to warrant being the leader of the free world.
John Kerry took as many sides on an issue as he could.

Ohh yea! The American way, vote against someone for being in a party with a president they don't agree with. Even when the GOP candidate is 10 times more qualified, there gonna vote for some young kid who has accomplished nothing? There gonna vote for Hillary who shouldn't even be in the Senate? If Bush was as bad as the drive-by (liberal media CNN, CBS, ABC, MSNBC, NY Times) say he is, why did he win re-election?
BTW, the platform that the dems deceived voters on to gain control of the congress and the senate (the economy, the war and gas prices) are still lingering.
Gas prices are outrageous, the economy is in bad shape, and the war is still going on, although better than ever thanks to John McCain. I thought the democrat Congress and Senate was suppose to make things better, not worse! And was suppose to pull us out of Iraq? Maybe it's a 10 year plan.

obama, mccain, huckabee, and i think ron paul, john edwards was, but these are the candidates that actually focus on the future of america, not the divisional party politics that has devastated progress the last ten years. study some history, not just US, but of all time. party politics runs in vicious cycles of civil distrust and national regression. this election needs to not be about dem v. rep but rather about hope, future, and unity.
