Why the heck would Cleveland have to give up picks and Kelley to get 2 second rounders?

The problem is that the majority here are not Browns fans, frankly they are better off not taking the risk of trading him if this is the only crap that they get.

The 32nd pick is a 1st rounder in any other year and a lot of teams would rather get 2 good players than 1 slightly better player. Anderson is very overrated and the 1st and 3rd tender is just because he's a RFA. The Browns would take 2 2nds for him all day long.

This trade should not be allowed. Anderson must be traded for a 1st and 3rd or not at all.

The first and 3rd tender is if someone tries to sign him as a RFA.

Yep, they can trade him for a 7th round pick if they wanted.

Ehhh. I like the 1st voerall pick in round 2, but I think they would turn this trade down.

Matt. Im going to say this once, only once. You obviously dont want my defense being better and I obviously know Derek Anderson better than you. So do us a favor because everything you wouldnt do is a joke so vote no and shut up.

Well when Anderson is tendered you are going to give me some dap. :)

Matt, I dont care what these Browns do with him. I saw and dicected every game and broke down his statsThings you obviously havent. I know what he's worth. Also no one in their right mind will give up a 1 and 3 or 2 seconds for him without more. I'm smarter than you think and if Savage gets a 1 and 3 I'll buy him a coke and loby for the firing of the other team's GM.

i say yes.it's pretty tough to be realistic & keep it fair.afterall this i a mock & supposed to fun.as long as it isn't crazy trades, i say let'em all go.

crazy trade IE-7th rd for peyton or 2- 6th rds for a 1st

I have no problem with the Browns getting two seconds for him. It's the fact that they have a third, sixth and Kelley going back the other way. To try to argue my point without taking this into consideration is a bit disengenuous.

I argue it, and everyone else that call this lopsided and stupid to make this deal because you dont look at the stats or seen all the games like I do and have. Seen every damn one. You people believe too much of the hype and love the highlights on Anderson but dont see the big picture. That is why you vote no.

I disagree. I have watched every down as well and while Anderson isn't perfect he's worth more to the Browns even in a backup role than this. IMO

It's that 3rd round pick that makes this lopsided to me, but I voted yes anyways. Good luck Browns

I would like to know what the hell is wrong with this trade besides the fact everyone wants to listen to Matt and vote no when Matt is obviously ignorant to the fact Derek Anderson is a strong armed and Glorified backup.

It’s just people have seen bad quarterbacks and what that can do to teams. Try telling a Vikings fan that Anderson is a glorified backup. You might turn out to be correct but right now he looks like a productive NFL quarterback and they should be treated like gold. If Quinn sucks your franchise will be set back a long time. That’s the perception so people won’t agree with the trade. People won’t buy that you are this master scout and could tell Anderson will fail. Don’t let it bother you. Let us live in ignorance until Anderson falls apart, and then you could say you were right all along.

In real life the Browns will tender him for a 1-year deal with the highest tender (1st and 3rd pick) on him. No team will bite. The Browns will have DA as their starter for 1 more full season, pending offseason go from 6-10 wins then some other team will sign him in the 09 offseason and Quinn will get to start. My crystal balls never lie.

Anderson would have been subpar without those recievers. Many of his passes were off target and would fall incomplete or be intercepted without those excellent recievers. This trade process is so screwed up. Im just going to draft and not screw with trading anymore. Not worth it when if the OTHER people dont like it it doesnt happen. Just an unneeded hassle. This trade will fail, I'll draft with what I have.

We're doing another one of these after the combine anyways and all trades will be reset so don't worry about it to much.

I don't see what your getting at their... If someone told me that I would agree with them.

As for the trade I don't agree with the notion that they should absolutly have to trade a 1st and a 3rd for Derek Anderson. Just as long as the value is relativly close to a first and 3rd. The 1st pick in the second round is basically a first rounder this year since the patriots got their pick taken away and the 59th overall is better than another third. Where i see the real problem in this is with the extra 3rd on the browns side I think thats a bit much.

I'd see no problem if this trade were Derek Anderson & Ethan Kelly (maybe a late round pick) for 2(32)
and 2(59)

Doesnt matter. 2 free agants, the trade is void.
