Guys, Troy Smith is in going into his second year and would not be traded, which is why I voted no. That said, I think the deal is otherwise fine.

the reason jags need a qb is they lack in depth.
Garrard will be next yrs starter but backup Quinn Gray is a UFA & there no one after him on the roster

true.however, i thought this was a mock draft & meant for fun.If this trade goes down some of these others that have passed should have been shot down as well.

lol why are people disallowing this trade? What is unfair about it? Baltimore invested a 5th into him last year and trade him for a 5th.
Seems fair he sucks anyways.

I was going to trade Lawson (a stupid move in hindsight) and I had my trade rejected because Lawson was a young guy. Therefore, this trade shouldn't pass either.

regardless of hindsight.some of the ppl voting said no just b/c they didn't want to see him leave SF.Those votes & reasons weren't credible enough.

San Francisco made a much bigger investment in Lawson than in Smith. Smith also doesn't have much upside as a QB as opposed to Lawson as an OLB.

Who knows, Smith could be the next Doug Floutie
Craig Smith

Possibly because they are targeting one high in this draft?

I think I was the one that said I didn't want to see him leave San Fran, and I thought I was obviously joking lol.
I see no problem with this trade. Yes it is.
