NFL Manager games?

Does anybody know of any good NFL manager games? I've found one called NFL Head Coach but it has gotten rather mixed reviews. My hope is that SI game who made Football Manager, Hocley Manager and Out Of The Park Baseball Manager will make a NFL manager game.

But are there any good ones out there now?

That is what I am talking about, and what I want to play. Complete manager game including scouting and drafting players.

lol I was thinking about this the other day. How much money could I personally make if it was my idea to make an NFL Draft video game?

You could scout for a team, interview the players at combine and stuff. Talk to coaching staffs about the players, then you be the GM on Draft Day.

Could be in use with NFLN or ESPN with one of those channels' Draft crew and they cover the draft as you watch. You are in the War room, make trades, etc.

I don't think they pay people who have video game ideas though :(

Older Madden were sweet to do this. Not so much anymore. I acutally used to spend hours with fantasy drafts and trades and going through the years without even playing a single game. But I heard mixed reviews as well about that Head coach. Let me know if you wind up getting it.

Just read that NFL Head Coach 09 most likely won't be released for PC (Only Xbox and playstation), at least for starters, which s***s...

Just took it for a spin. The graphics are horrible, but the rest is OK. Worth a look.

I would love it if someone (not me, I don't know anything about programming) would make a game like sportsmogul, but with cut days in training camp, overview of the games, realistic simulation and obviously a realistic off season, with free agency, combine and eveything (and not like madden, its pretty good but way to easy to find the good players).

Sportsmogul really dropped the ball with their NFL games. Its a shame. Their 2011 version is free, but its not even worth downloading to be honest. The player ratings are atrocious and the game itself is incredibly bland. Baseball Mogul on the other hand is fantastic.

I still play NFL Head Coach 09 from time to time because it is the best option out there. Maddens Franchise is actually pretty decent this year too, but what ruins it for me is the CPU's player cutting logic. They will constantly cut high draft picks with high potential (Mikel Leshoure, Marvin Austin, Brandon Graham, Terrell Pryor, etc.) for undrafted rookies with F potential who are below a 50 overall.

I've been searching for years for NFL manager games, and in my opinion there are two viable options:

1 - Madden 08 for pc - you can download some mods and editors to make the franchise mode more interesting and realistic. Check this out http://ffmadden.wikia.com/wiki/NZA%27s_Franchise_Guide

2 - Solecismic Front Office Football - a pretty simple txt based game, but you can have a lot of fun with it.
