They released him today. I guess this means Gaines Adams will start right away.

Well, this means Adams could start. He is still a rookie.
Also, the Bucs have $7.2M in cap space to sign Daunte Culpepper. I expect a signing today or tomorrow.
Wow, never thought I'd see DC in a Bucs uni.

A write-up of Rice and Giants GM Jerry Reese:

why not have the eagles go after him, if rice isnt asking for big money

Rice would look good in an Eagles uniform, especially if the Giants or Redskins are going after him. He does fit the system. I like that idea.

Why sign Rice if you just got rid of another veteran, who IMO was better.
I'd rather give younger guys a chance while we rebuild.

Sorry, getting a bit ahead of myself!
The way people are talking though you'd think Strahan was gone!

Yeah, it does seem like he is, doesn't it? I have a feeling he will retire, but then again he really needs the money, so he may be forced to come back. Either way, I think he has a terrible season. He's old, coming off injury and is worried about money instead of getting in shape.

I have the Eagles sweeping the Giants in my season simulation:

20-17 and 27-24. Their games are usually tight.

The Eagles are the best team in the division. Barring injury, I say they go 12-4ish. The 'Boys are a close second if Romo plays the way he did his first 5 games.

I have the Eagles going 11-5, so we're close in that regard.
I also agree the Cowboys finish second. Everyone keeps saying Tony Romo is so overrated, that he's becoming really underrated. Romo didn't play well toward the end of last season, but he wasn't horrible either. It was his defense that let him down.

What actually happened:
Cowboys 13-3
Giants 10-6
Redskins 9-7
Playoffs
Eagles 8-8.
