The hardest part about this like the NBA is all the restrictions on trading. Use http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/trademachine
To see if a trade is even possible to make before you offer anything.

Matt you might not get Cassell to trade for much longer. They might actually buyout his contract

Lol trading in the NBA is def a lot more complicated than in the NFL.

we won't use it due to were not going to do FA. They will just stay with their current team.

So what about contracts: dollars and length? Is that going to factor at all into this?

02-27-2008, 11:27 AM
yea I think we could have a cap. If anyone knows what is is and what teams have. I'm not much of a NBA guy. I might watch about 1 game a week.

Yea if this ever happens (still think it won't get enough interest) then it's gonna need some firm ground rules, because again trading in the NBA is A LOT different than in the NFL. Ex. Me trying to get players with expiring contracts. AKA salary dumping.

Why not use the trade machine? it looks like a good idea to me either way my trade block for the Grizzlies is
Kwame Brown-C/F
Darko Milicic-F/C
Brian Cardinal-F
Jason Collins-F/C
Mike Miller-F-G
Casey Jacobson-G
Aaron Mckie-G
Juan Carlos Navarro-G
Kyle Lowry or Javaris Crittenton-G
NO Mike Conley, Rudy Gay or Hakim Warrick
When is this going down?
bills_red
02-27-2008, 01:19 PM
cuz you can't trade players with 1 year left on contract and we arn't doing FA cuz that will take way to long and too much time.

I'm game for a mock draft....if nobody has taken the OKC Sonics I'm up for the job. If so here is my list of trading block players.
Everybody but Durant and Green. Easy enough?

Are we going to assign every player a salary then or use real salary cap and their real salaries?

That would work... is there any site where that is clearly stated for every player to make this a lot easier and so that we arent using different sites that might have different numbers?
