The combine is going on, so when should we start it?

My only concern/question is should we wait until after all the on campus workouts are completed? Like beginning April.

I'd also like to wait to see which teams sign free agents.

As animal52 said, I think we should wait until free agency ends.

I like waiting until FA is finalized. That way at least our team needs will most closely replicate the real life needs and hence maybe the draft itself.

Here's the upcoming calendar...
February 20-26 - NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, Indiana
February 21 - Deadline for teams to designate Franchise and Transition Players
February 28 - Deadline for submission of Qualifying Offers by teams to their Restricted Free Agents whose contracts have expired and to whom they desire to retain a Right of First Refulsal/Compensation
February 28 - Deadline for teams to submit offer of minimum salary to retain exclusive negotiating righs to their players with fewer than three seasons of free agency credit whose contracts have expired
February 29 - Start of Free Agency and Trading period
March 17 - Begin Offseason Workout Programs
March 30-April 3 - NFL Annual Meeting in Palm Beach, Florida
April 25 - Deadline for teams to exercise Right of First Refusal to Restricted Free Agents
April 18 - Deadline for signing of Offer Sheets by Restricted Free Agents
April 25 - Deadline for old team to exercise Right of First Refusal to Restricted Free Agents
I like the idea of April 1st mentioned above and then we could do one more around the 14th or 15th

LOL technocrat is that Bob Ross?
Bob Ross: All right, we are going to use a fan brush here and uh why don't you take some hunter green and we are going to put a happy little bush right down over here in the corner there and that'll just be our little secret and if you tell anyone that that bush is there I will come to your house and I will cut you.

Also, two mocks in April is fine with me, but other people might have trouble with that proposal.

For sure. Maybe we could start the fun one first, in the middle of March.

and let's give this tree a little friend. yeah, and how about another. and it looks like they all need some tattoos so they can call themselves the pines, and compete with the bloods and the crips.

free agency doesn't end it does however slow down past a certain point. so once the big names are done we should start it

Now that I am offically back in the game I can make an opinion that may or may not matter.
If we do two hours per round in we could get done 4 Rounds starting on April first even though two hours is not efficiant in getting anything done quickly. However I will say if we only do 4 rounds I dont see the point for the Browns. It will be difficult to improve any team with one, mid forth round pick. I would do my best though.
If you want to do more than 4 starting on April 1 then shortening the time accordingly to the amount of extra rounds (Like a half an hour for one or two rounds) would be a prudent move.

I don't know what's stopping us from starting now. All the big names are signed, lets get this started.
If you want to do more than four rounds then we could (and I think we should do this anyways) do smaller intervals the further we get into the draft. Two hours in the first round. Hour and a half in the second. Hour in the third, and then just keep it at an hour or possibly make it every half hour and keep it there.
