Thoughts on this week's games?
Saints +2
Steelers -2
Total: 34.5
I think Pittsburgh and the Under are the way to go.

Well, it's all about 2nd-4th strings in these games.
I would have to go with Pittsburgh also. Their 2nd string OL is much better than New Orleans' 2nd string DL.

I have sideline passes to this game! :D
Take the under. I read on FBG where since the inception of the game in 1962 the combined score has gone over only 8 times, that makes 8 times in 46 years!

No I don't. I have a restaurant in Kent, Ohio so I am only about 30 min from the Hall of Fame. I got these passes through my Coke rep.
We feed the Kent State football team about 10-12 times a year and I have got to meet a few players that are in the NFL now.
Antonio Gates
Josh Cribbs, Cle
Abe Elam, Dallas
Usama Young, NO
Andre Kirkland, Stl (UDFA)
They are all cool guys and easy to talk to.

That's pretty cool that you got to meet Antonio Gates and those other guys. Usama Young could be a good player.
I've gotten to know Michael Robinson and Tamba Hali, and they're both really nice guys as well. It's great to see that most football players are nice. There are some bad apples (I mention one in my player prospects page), but they're outnumbered by the good ones.

I met the whole Giants team once, on a school trip to Giants Stadium in 4th Grade.

Thanks, swifty. Feels good to start the season 2-0 rather than 0-2 or something.

No though don't want to go against your picks.

Well, it's Cincy vs. Detroit and Indy vs. Dallas. I love Dallas and I like Cincinnati a bit. Unders should go at least 1-1.

I like Dallas a lot. Any thoughts on the Bengals-Lions game?
schmidty
08-07-2007, 12:57 PM
Bengals-Lions will score over 38. I think Rod Marinelli has something to prove with his discipline, military style of coaching. In addition you have Mike Martz dealing only with the offense which is his strong point. The lions are out to prove that they can play in this league and with the potent Bnegals offense, look for this game to be more than 40. Why? Also because Schmidty says so!!!!!
Walter
08-07-2007, 02:09 PM
LOL Schmidty, I like the Under... Mike Martz loves to score, but not so much so in the preseason. Remember, Jon Kitna, Calvin Johnson, Roy Williams, Mike Furrey, Carson Palmer, Chad Johnson and T.J. Who's Yo Momma aren't going to play that much this week. It's going to be mostly inept backups.

LOL, im glad you find my post funny, but i also think and have an inside man at both the lions and bengals camp that has reported that they have the best back-ups in camp, and quite possibly of all time!!!!!!!
Walter
08-09-2007, 02:09 PM
Haha, the best backups of all time? J.T. O'Sullivan is going to play the majority of the game for the Lions. Maybe you should write O'Sullivan's Hall of Fame induction speech.
