Does anybody here gamble on the NBA?

I make bets with friends, but only to that extent.
NBA is awesome for parlays in which you take like 10 games in one night and bet the over on every single one.
For some reason, to me it just seems like the over hits more than the under in the NBA, call me crazy.

"Hey! The Other Sports forum clearly states 'anything non-gambling related to the NBA...'" winked Holder_Account.

It really depends on the night, Matt. I thought the Hawks and the Magic were gonna go way over 202 tonight, but somehow they only scored 184.
Personally, I HATE taking parlays with the NBA. Unlike Football, any team can beat another on any given night. For example the Bobcats almost beating the Celtics last year (Celts would've lost if it wasn't for Ray Allen's improbable 3).
I'll take at 7-point 3 team teaser, but no parlays.

i don't touch NBA or college basketball.
every year I've done a NCAA bracket it gets messed up by round 2 or 3
best example I picked wraiths miami heat to beat the knicks in streak for cash the knicks won pushing my streak down

Good teaser, Purple.
I teased Houston, NoLA and the Lakers tonight.
Houston covered me, waiting on my other 2.
If I feel like betting NBA, I usually take 13-14 games ATS.

I had the Knicks and Phoenix ATS tonight, which worked out well. I also have New Orleans, which isn't looking great right now, but in the NBA it's all decided in the last two minutes anyway.

Bucks was amazingly easy pick!
Unfortunately, the Magic couldn't cover the teaser against the Hawks.

Well, so much for NOR -6.5. I only had $5 riding on my bets, though. I can't handicap basketball to save my life.

At least they won.
5 points...sooo close, Ja.

It's ok. I consider the last two days a win after I couldn't get my bookie on the phone last night to place a more substantial last-minute bet on the Celtics (who also won by 5 against a 6.5 spread).
At least when I bet on the NFL I can pretend that I know what I'm doing.
Of course, since gambling isn't legal here, all of my bets are in pretend dollars.

Why not use an online website?

What? You mean like walterfootball? He was the one who told me to bet the Celts in the first place! ;)

Noooo...
Why not place your wagers on an online website? You mentioned that gambling isn't legal.
Just go to sportsbook.com or bodog.com or whichevre site you prefer for that, if you're looking to actually gamble.

I'm with Holder. It's legal if you do it through an online sportsbook. If you win a lot of money you do have to declare it though lol

That's why you always wager the right amount and make sure you withdraw a little bit at a time, hehe.

Heh, I was just joking, guys. I had 5 whole real dollars rolled up on the NBA games.
