As we did on Sunday, there will be a live in-game thread for this. If anyone wants to join in, that'd be great.
Game starts at 8 p.m. on Fox.
Cowboys are 4.5-point favorites and the total is 35.5.

Eww, look at that starting lineup on defense for the Colts. Absolutely pathetic. Teams will easily double team Dwight Freeney and run the ball right up the gut on Indy. Might be the worst defense in football next season.

The Colts lost a lot of personnel, but they still have a few quality players like Freeney, Mathis, Bob Sanders and Bethea. They'll be bad though, especially against the run, you're right.

Hey Colts, good move on passing up Paul Pozluzsny (sp?) in the draft for Anthony Gonzalez. You have a much bigger need at OLB than slot WR. While I think Gonzalez will be a great player, the Colts defense will be dreadful next season.
And to cap it off, they gave up their first rounder in next year's draft for Tony Ugoh, which I think was a good investment considering the loss of Tarik Glenn.

I don't think running outside is going to work as well against the Colts. Their linebackers are pretty solid.

Nah I meant 3rd down, but why not go for it on 4th in the preseason? It's not like that is a nail biter for a kicker. I'd only kick it though for special teams work (on kickoff)

Well, Jon Gruden didn't play Chris Simms enough in preseason last year. Manning should be done. Romo needs another series imo.

It's to get the rookies and young players more reps. This includes quarterbacks, but Romo's not going to benefit against backups and without his starting WRs.

Stupid move though if more than one person (other than yourself) is in the hand. BB called also. I am never comfortable with kings when 2 people see a flop with me.
He min raised me. Maybe I shoulda folded, but I could only put him on 77 and 22 to beat me. He played another hand like that earlier with the min raise. Bottom line is he is just a moron.

Wish I could afford to play in an FTOPS event (Full Tilt Online Poker Series). Last nights BI was $216 and first place paid out $147k. Unreal. 4200 players. FT made $66000 off the rake. These sites make so much money per day it is ridiculous. I think they rake a little too much though in cash games.

No way. Can't afford. Based on Chris Ferguson's bankroll management system, you shouldn't BI to a tourney or cash game for more than 5% of your bankroll. Once I get out of college in a few years and get a job I'm gonna save up and put $2000 on FTP. I think I am a very good player, I just have to keep training myself to decrease the variance in my game and become a better long session cash game player. My PLO and Razz skills are improving. (I kill at Razz!).

I mean, I wouldn't be surprised if the Colts won the South. The only thing holding the Jags back is their receivers and Leftwich's inconsistency.
Ridiculously stupid to pass on Brady Quinn in the draft at 21. How often does a top 5 prospect fall to 22 and you have the chance to draft him and you have a need for a proven QB.
Jags have made so many bad first round picks lately. Reggie Williams. Matt Jones. Marcedes Lewis didn't do well last year (was he injured?).

I didn't catch the game until the 2nd quarter, but I wasn't particularly impressed with the play of the Colt's offensive line.
How did the starters fare?

Indy's starters played for one series and they looked good. If it wasn't for a great play by Anthony Henry, they would have scored a touchdown. Manning got solid pass protection. The Cowboys also looked good. Marion Barber looks like the real deal, Tony Romo was 10-of-11 and the offensive line looked solid. They screwed up in the red zone twice, but that's to be expected Week 1 preseason.
