  • Well, the last dumb Pollack from who played for us took us to the AFC championship twice, which is more than I can say about anyone but Otto Graham. But history probably won't repeat itself, because it looks like he might end up as a top 10 pick just out of reach for our second pick.

    • I didn't know Kosar was a Pollack. The two concerns I have about Trubisky are Fedora's gimmicky offense and that whole numbers equation. # of starts/ blahblah/blah doesn't work for one year wonders.

Just fyi, despite living in NC, I have watched exactly zero of his games.

      • Brady Quinn. Kelly Holcomb cant remember his backgorund but he sucked too ? Charlie Frye and that last loser Brian Hoyer all were Cleveland from birth.

**** them. We need a giant farm boy like Big Ben that is just made for the NFL. Or grow some balls and get a giant inner city youth with super talent and say **** the dumb racist fan that are here and start his ghetto self.

Either way, **** local talent. Seriously **** Ohio State players especially offensive players from gimmick offense. Why not actually try and get some better talent than the other teams get. That should be whole goal and I don't think it even gets mentioned ever in the war room or the draft as we always get inferior talent than other teams.

We blow donkey ballsacks. We will continue to blow donkey ballsacks.

Especially if we ust grab some local loser than can't play. We wasted picked this year like always. we will waste more next year.

TRADE DOWN!!! cuz inferior talent is cheaper and winning doesn't effect the bottom line as we make 30M profit each and every year while our ownership rights go up 50M each and every year as well!!! **** the fans we bend them over and no Vaseline their butt holes. And they thank us for the privilege of bleeding out our sperm!! Yay!!

        Browns!

        • Kosar's daughter is a repulsive porn star.

Like 15 dudes at once and sucking sperm off the floor. Just sickening. Poor sap. Also, Kosar was an atrocity his last 5 count em 5 years here. Dimishing skills was right. He blew like his daughter does for a $20 microgram of heroin

You do know that if Ben hadn't gone to a team like the Steelers his career would have completely imploded, right? If he had gone to some crap team with lousy ownership, he would have been Jamarcus Russell.

              • "This QB class sucks. But next year's? Greatest!"

Said by many this year. And last year. And the year before. And the year before that. And...well, you get the idea. Honestly, it's gonna be awhile before we get some accurate QB rankings, as it seems like the interviews (when they go over plays and reading defenses with the QBs) tends to be the most important thing beyond physically being able to play.

I have a good idea of what the Steelers need (a true NT, OLBs, safeties, OL depth because not having it bites you in the ass, RB if Bell leaves and DWill finally succumbs to age, WR because that well went dry quickly, back up QB because having Jones there is inexcusable, maybe TE depending on how Green gets healthy and performs) but they will go with the best athlete on the board. For better or worse.

Fast, undersized athletes on D and whatever makes Ben happy on O is what I'm expecting.

It is kind of hilarious, though. He's the only thing that keeps that team functional.

The unchecked ego of Tomlin, dude. After two SB appearances and one victory he's no longer held accountable. They drafted Jones and are going to stick with him come hell or high water. He's a perfectly acceptable 3rd stringer but has no business being your # 2 when your QB misses 2-4 games every year.

                            • Yeah he was like what 35 or something when he went the first time. Gonna get to the head having that kind of success that young in an old white mans world.

Although I think he has a lot more merit than some, I do get that he rode some coattails and Biggy Benny and now we are seeing without those tails how things are.

Long live Troy Boy. You guys miss that playmaker on D side of the ball for sure. That and Debo aging kinda made the D less scary. Those were some men amongst boys.

Oh well, you can have everyone on the Browns if you like. Don't think even one player would help you at all really. But you can have them anyways

Hey, I'd take Joe Hayden, Shelton, and Collins. Those guys would start. Really, all of the players from those great 2000s defenses for Pittsburgh got old at the same time, and none of them were adequately replaced. Ziggy Hood wasn't a good replacement for Aaron Smith. Steve McClendon couldn't fill Big Snack's shoes. Jarvis Jones couldn't come close to Clark Haggins, let alone James Harrison. No one was ever going to replace Troy, he was too unique. Ike Taylor's replacement was William Gay, who was the #3 behind he and Townsend. The other CBs have been Antwon Blake, Cortez Allen, and a host of nobodies that they gave up on after training camp.

Like 2-3 bad drafts in a row murdered the defense for this team. Only the offensive picks hit. Maybe find some better defensive scouts? Recently, Cam and Tuitt were great pickups. Shazier is really good when he isn't hurt, which is like maybe 10 games a year. Bud Dupree came back recently, though I have no solid opinion on him yet. Honestly, I haven't even noticed that he was there. The rookies in the secondary will have their growing pains, that much I expected. Burns hasn't looked horrible in coverage, he absolutely needs to learn to tackle though. Sean Davis needs to learn to football properly. He has a couple of good plays, but lots of bonehead plays, too. Ross Cockrell...is okay? I think? Maybe not? He's up and down too, which this is really just his second full year, so...maybe okay? Then there is Golson, who hasn't even seen the field yet. Oh, and Hargrave, who played well in relief of Cam but hasn't looked good as the NT. Which is no surprise, given his size and skillset. Maybe a move to DE, and get a true NT? Point is, the defense is super young, and them being bad was expected. The OLBs are ass, and I'd like to see a "center-fielder" at safety to help out the young CBs. Maybe run that big nickel, with a new safety and Davis at the 2 safety spots with Mitchell playing in the box as the joker (is that what they call the 3rd safety?) where he belongs. But I could ramble about this defense all day.

So let's talk about the offense! It's painfully overrated! Simply put, teams will bracket AB then load up to stop Bell, and no one else can hurt them. None of the other receivers or TEs are threatening in the slightest. Maybe Green has a shot when he's fully healthy. Bryant is likely done in Pittsburgh. He's crazy talented, but seems to have the Josh Gordon problem. Ben is Ben; will make incredible plays and do it a lot, but will YOLO balls down the field and toss terrible picks, too. He's like a bigger, not quite as good version of Favre (I'm making Castiron cringe here, and it gives me satisfaction): Lots of highlight reel stuff, teammates love him, questionable off the field stuff, dumb INTs, all we need are the painkillers and Ron Jaworski love-fest. Oh, and the OL needs to stop with the penalties and improve the runblocking. The talent is there, grind em' up. They are running more, which makes sense given Bell's talent and the lack of other pass catchers.

Special teams could probably use a new coach, but talent will improve with defensive depth.

Really, despite the problems, the AFCN is pathetic. So a divisional crown is still a possibility. And then they will get annihilated in the playoffs, by a wildcard from the AFCW. And the beat goes on.
