Ohio State CB Gareon Conley is a smart player with good zone awareness. Attacks the ball in the air like a receiver. Plays hard. Relies on his natural talent more than technique, but I do not believe he will wow athletically in the Combine drills. Can get dragged on tackles. Probably at his best in a zone scheme that allows him to keep his eyes on the QB.
With his huge arm, Texas Tech QB Patrick Mahomes II can chuck it on a rope as well as anyone. Can hit passing windows only a handful of NFL QBs can. Aggressive downfield passer. Has "Wow!" factor. Plays fast. Keeps eyes downfield under pressure. Good, not elite, athlete who can get out of trouble in the backfield. At his best throwing between the numbers; needs work on ball placement and timing outside the hashes. Mechanics are a mess, but he makes it work and gets away with stuff other quarterbacks cannot because of his arm. Sometimes gets caught overthinking instead of just playing, double-clutching the ball or failing to pull the trigger on time. Will not take a hit in order to make a big play downfield.
MD4L, I'm joking. I don't think y'all use my board for your draft picks.
Now, whether people use my board to figure out if they need to jump me to get the guy they like, well...Somebody did trade ahead of me to take Desmond Trufant a few years back. I'm not saying, I'm just saying.
