    2. This strategy is just gonna foul out his big guys faster once they get stuck on the other end. Rubio is easily faster then derron (not saying better) so maybe I'm missing how this strategy would work I'm pretty sure Burke can get around Mo or Mathews around bellineli. Just confused. No one runs the press in the nba all game for a reason. Hell even pitino couldn't make it work. by the looks of your minutes. Williams and Durant are gonna be gassed mid series

    3. You know your team is in trouble when you try to introduce a gimmick into a championship series, especially when they haven't done it all season long.

    4. Do they still even have an arena in Seattle to play in?

Anyhow a vote for grizzlies is a vote for Murica. You know what to do
There is a reason Dalembert is playing limited minutes. I am not going to play in the press constantly, it is just to create more turnovers and give us more opportunities to score in transition. We think we have a huge advantage there and it helps keeps the ball out of your bigs hands. We already beat you in the divisional round and know we can do it again. We will stick to what we did then and add this press in to help

Yeah, the full court press didn't make sense to me. It's okay to pull out of a hat here and there but to run for just about the whole game is strange.

This is JR Smith. He's bound to go full tard at some point. Remember when he elbowed Jason Terry and imploded afterwards? He's due for those here and there.

    Seattle Supersonics

This series we are playing the Memphis Grizzlies. As outlined in my division write up, this is a team that sorely lacks scoring and talent on the perimeter. That is the match-up we are looking to exploit in this series.

Offensively, we are going to speed the game up so they can't get their post game set up on either end. We will look to score in transition and push the ball. Playing this game up- tempo is an obvious advantage for us because we have better ball handlers and more of them off the bench.

Defensively, we are going to full court press almost the entire game. This will force Memphis to play at our tempo, and force J.R. Smith and others to take bad shots on the other end. Pressing Memphis will also play into our offensive, creating turnovers and tons of fast break opportunities for us. It will also decrease touches for Anthony Davis and Marc Gasol. Also, playing at this up tempo pace will tire each teams bigs out, without getting much production out of them. This is a big advantage for us because their bigs are key players for them, and are not for us. We are going to speed this game up to a pace where Memphis cannot keep up.

    Rotation:
PG: Deron Williams (34) / Mo Williams (14)
    SG: OJ Mayo (30) / Bellineli (8) / Mo Williams (10)
    SF: Durant (37) / Salmons (11)
    PF: Thompson (30) / Noel (17) / Jason Smith (1)
    C: Jason Smith (22) / Dalembert (15) / Noel (11)

Notes: We will be subbing bigs often to keep them fresh.
Bellineli will not play as much this series, giving Mo Williams more minutes as Mo is a better ball handler and scorer in transition. He also fits the press more.
Noel will see a boost in minutes due to his ability to run the floor better than Smith and Dalembert. Great athleticism is transition.

As we speed the game up, the game is going to become more about the players on the perimeter.
Kevin Durant, Deron Williams, OJ Mayo, and Mo Williams are our guys.
They have J.R. Smith, Ricky Rubio, Wesley Matthews, and Trey Burke.
    Take your pick.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Memphis Grizzlies

    Summary
Welcome to the series of varying styles. You kind of have two choices here. The team with a good backcourt and nothing up front vs the team with possibly the best frontcourt in this with a solid back court. We feel like this is a pretty close representation of the actual Thunder.Grizz series except Footsy has a better pg, but a much worse front court. We lose a little defensively not having tony allen but hey, look, grizzlies back court players who can shoot!!!

    Offense
Offensively we are gonna go down low to gasol and Davis alot. We feel Gasol can get any of their big men in foul trouble, thus bringing in old man, cant move Dalembert and super Raw Noel. Once either of those players hits the floor, we feel we can use our twin big bodies even more effectively. Any doubles that may come towards Gasol should be read easily by the elite passer to find either cutting players or threes depending on who the double comes off of

The offensive plays we use have been mostly built on the interior/block and they exploit the skills of Marc Gasol, an all around player, who is able to play close to the basket, as well as shoot from medium distance. In addition to Gasol, the team is dangerous to our opponents because of the offensive penetrations of Rubio, and the shooting of JR Smith. Anthony Davis will take the next step this season and be an offensive force on the low block when teams leave him matched up one on one down low. He also is an incredible rebounder.

Whenever we see Belinelli check into the game Wes Mathews will be scrambling to the floor to run circles around him and get some easy looks. We also believe that keeping a fresh PG on the court in valuable as this is now the conference finals and players tend to wear down a bit. Thus Burke will get a little more time then in previous rounds to help with shooting and also being a lot more athletic then Mo Williams whenever hes around. Essentially i feel our backcourt bench should be able to outperform theirs, especially seeing how Williams will probably get hurt 5 minutes in. Whenever Dalembert checks in, expect pick and roll city with whoever hes guarding and our point guard

tl;dr version Take advantage of the subpar interior of the ThunderSonics and find open shooters off the doubles on great passer Gasol using back cuts to the basket and solid offensive rotation to get where he can find the open man.

    Defense

We feel Deron williams poses the biggest threat to us on this team. Rubio is a solid defender but he is a gambler, something williams can take advantage of. Luckily neither of the centers for Seattle has much of an offensive game so GASOL is gonna just camp out down low providing the NBA best Defensive player abilities that he posseses. One thing Deron has been prone to do in his career and one thing Gasol is one of the best at, is taking charges. Gasol is never out of position and hopefully we can get Deron in some early foul trouble then go to town on the lack of ball handlers they have on their bench.

JR Smith is an underrated perimeter defender who should be able to hold Mayo to a dozen points or so.

Now to the biggest matchup, obviously
For this round, we are making an adjustment to our starting lineup. Introducing Mo Harkless in to help stop Kevin Durant. As far as the impact Harkless already has on the Grizzlies, he is another solid perimeter defender and athlete on the Grizz roster. Listed at 6-foot-9, he has incredible length with a wingspan of around 7-foot-2, which really bothers his opponents on the defensive end of the floor. I will not say this would be a consistent occurance, but he can, as shown here, actually keep up with Durant on both ends of the floor. Again i wouldnt expect that kind of point production out of Harkless, but we feel he gives Durant problems here due to his size and athleticism.

When harkless needs a break, we have solid, savvy vet trevor Ariza and Wes Mathews around to give Durant different looks.

Anthony Davis should have zero problems with Tristan Thompson.

Bench wise. We feel like we can really pressure any of their players defensively and cause some turnovers leading to easy buckets. Our bench should be more athletic then theirs (excluding Noel v speights..lol).

    Conclusion
This should be a hard fought series, but in the end I truly believe we have enough offense, and a grind it out style that would cause Seattle issues. We are easily the younger team overall so we should be able to be a little fresher later in the series. We are gonna keep wearing down their limited front court, hopefully causing a lot of foul trouble which should give us the few extra points needed to make the difference in the end. If you read this far, you are a champ and i appreciate both your attention and support
