  • Revisiting the 2008 Season Predictions

I always wanted to see who does better predictions, so I found some from last year that Walt and Matt both did. For Walt's predictions, I am using the middle of the range of wins that he said. I am listing the number of wins predicted only.

    Team Walt/Matt Games Off (Walt/Matt)

    Chiefs 3/4 1/2
    Bears 3/4 6/5
    49ers 4/3 3/4
    Falcons 5/5 6/6
    Rams 5/6 3/4
    Ravens 5/5 6/6
    Dolphins 6/3 5/8
    Lions 6/6 6/6
    Raiders 6/6 1/1
    Redskins 6/4 2/4
    Panthers 7/4 5/8
    Bengals 7/7 2.5/2.5
    Titans 7/5 6/8
    Bucs 8/8 1/1
    Browns 8/8 4/4
    Cardinals 9/6 0/3
    Jets 9/6 0/3
    Seahawks 9/9 5/5
    Texans 9/9 1/1
    Chargers 9/8 1/0
    Broncos 9/10 1/2
    Bills 10/10 3/3
    Vikings 10/10 0/0
    Jaguars 10/8 5/3
    Patriots 10/11 1/0
    Eagles 10/12 .5/2.5
    Saints 10/11 2/3
    Steelers 11/11 1/1
    Giants 11/9 1/3
    Packers 11/11 5/5
    Cowboys 12/11 3/2
    Colts 12/12 0/0

    Average games off:

    Walter: 2.72
    Matt: 3.31

    Exact guesses:

    Walt: 4
    Matt 4

Off by 5 or more games:

    Walt: 10
    Matt: 9

Off by 8 or more games:

    Walt: 0
    Matt: 3

Crazy to think they thought the Lions and Browns would do better than the Bears and Falcons. I dont disagree its just intresting to see how teams can change

      Still gets me every time.

LOL at the Broncos and Bills winning ten games each. I'm surprised they were that off on the Ravens and Redskins.

Oh yeah, I know you weren't trying to offend me. I put my predictions out there, so everything is subject to scrutiny.

You were saved on one thing. You had the Fins getting 6 wins since this was after they signed Pennington.
