I bet before Kolb throws his first completion that fans are chanting for Garcia. They love him here.

Feeley will be starting by...*checks schedule*...Week 6 at the latest.

Garcia to Philly only surprises me because they already have Vick and Kolb on roster. Garcia did play in Philly a couple years ago, and did pretty well, so there's a preexisting connection and he knows the scheme pretty well.

They have no back up for Kolb this week, so they had to sign someone and Feeley was taken.

ESPN just said that Kolb has turned the ball over on 1/3 of his drives this preseason and the offense hasn't scored a point while he was in?

If that's true Garcia might be in really quick.

Kolb's never really gotten any first team reps in practice either. That being said, he's made horrible decisions and doesn't seem very aware of pressure while in the pocket.

Couldn't Garcia just step in? I mean there is no way they have any confidence in Kolb.

From the Panthers standpoint, Feeley may actually be the better quarterback period. I just don't see Jake coming back with any success after this fiascoe.

They really needed someone to be a back up. They couldn't go into the game with just Kolb. BUT, I'm sure Andy Reid has more faith in Garcia right now seeing as how he's proven to be a good spot-starter.

I would start Garcia over Kolb anyday. Sure, Garcia can barely throw past 10 yards, but at least he throws to the right team.

As for Feely, I'd throw him in ASAP. Delhomme either needs to watch over his son more or just stop playing.

                    Was that necessary?

He's reffering to one of Walts jokes.... not sure if you knew that.

Okay, looking at Feeley's stat line, his last major action was in 2007 when he started/played in three games. Apart from the atrocious Seattle game, he had a pretty good YPA, completion %, and overall decent numbers. He'll have a better offense around him in Carolina than he did with the 2007 Eagles. He'll have a far better running game.

We have to go back to 2004 with the Dolphins to find any more significant playing time for him. Overall season stats aren't great, but apart from a 5 INT game against Buffalo, he did pull off a one-point win over the Super Bowl champ Patriots where he posted an 87.6 QB rating near the end of the season.

I really think Feeley could salvage the Panthers' season if he plays at all competently. They're not terrible offensively. I don't know anything at all about his arm strength though, and that could be an issue if he can't stretch the field and teams can just stack the box against the run.

I'm so happy about this. I hope they cut Kolb, the day he leaves the roster will be one of the best days of my life, In fact I might become Governor and then make that day a holiday where no one has work or school.

Eh. Anyone is better than Delhomme, I guess. I wish they would give Matt Moore a chance. I don't care if he ends up sucking, because we all know Delhomme and McCown already suck. And he's the only young QB on the roster.

But when will Delhomme even be benched? Fox is stupid and stubborn. Probably won't happen for awhile. Unless he's desperate to save his job.
