The standby is probably the case.
Gregg Williams is the coach now, Saunders was an inaccurate report. But yeah, regardless, Browns.

    • Wacky days for the Browns. Or, just par for the course.

I wonder how the fanbase is spinning this?

      • I see nobody stayed up to watch Derek Anderson. Wise decision, people!

I did not. In fact, I forgot DA was starting. Just no reason to watch that game.

You're sure to enjoy Thursday Night's Thriller: The Battle of San Francisco Bay! The 1-6 Raiders take on the 1-7 49ers to see who'll get a worse draft pick.

                'Cuz Lions/Browns.

I have no idea why they traded a guy for a 3rd in 2019 when they would have almost assuredly gotten a 2020 3rd as a comp pick when he becomes a free agent this winter/spring/whatever the hell time of year that is. Guess they must be confident that they'll offset him or something.

I didn't want us to trade for him, because I don't think we're a player away from a serious playoff run. OTOH, I think the Eagles got a good deal (better than the one the Cowboys swung for Amari Cooper, by far).

                  So I DON'T LIKE IT.

Another more minor WR move for the Lions: Detroit restructured the contract of WR Marvin Jones, saving $2.2 million against its salary cap, per sources.
Something going down or weird financing.

Speculation seems to be to make room for Patrick Peterson. It has to be something like that, you don't trade to win now and then trade to rebuild immediately after. Right?

I'd say yes but... nothing yet.

Don't lose games with dumb fumbles, I guess.

                                For a 2019 3rd and a 2020 5th. Hey, at least they didn't get Patrick Peterson (yet).

P.S. The 7th rounder the Packers got for Ty Montgomery is a 2020 pick. A bag of chips, past its sell-by date.
