The Baltimore Ravens D with have multiple looks with multiple personnel. It will go from 3-4 to 4-6 for base D. The future past 2013 looks bright. I have added several younger players to get experience from Ed Reed and Ray Lewis. I think they will have a great mental impact on the younger guys I am bringing in. I still have hope that Sergio can get his career on track and become a solid rush backer. This year I will rotate a lot of players opposite of Suggs until one shakes to the top. I added Keith Rivers to compete at OLB this year and possibly move inside next year. This all depends on where Zach Brown and Chandler Jones best fits. Zach Brown has the athletic ability to be a monster in the NFL. His speed alone could cause mismatches rushing the QB. So moving people around to see where they fit most comfortably will be done. I also see Paul Kruger coming in and adding to last years contributions. LB is very deep for the Ravens. I am looking for big things out of Rolle this year. I believe he will have a better chance of playing up to his pay in the Ravens aggressive D.

On O I made some changes to the Oline. Some of which brought be heat. Good cause I believe I made our Oline even better than last years oline. I brought in a top LT moving McKinnie to RT just gave me a top set of tackles. Oher was a good Rt but I expect him to be an All Pro LG. Birk is the most underrated center in the league. RG is the only question mark I have on the Oline but I believe I have the right people to make it a smooth transition. LT and WR were to big needs on the Ravens O. I got great value in Childs. His knee is getting stronger and if not for the injury he would have been gone as high as the second but third for sure. Although I like the direction Smith is going I still think he needs more time to polish his skills.

Chandler Jones is # 16 on scouts inc top 32 BB. Over the years I have watch and compared BB's to see who's are the more accurate. Scouts Inc generally hits the spot with there BB's. Zach Brown is not in the top 32 but he was. They have him graded at a 89. which is fringe first round gone early in round 2. They are the only people to have Tyson Aluala in the top 32. This BB is based off talent potential and the buzz coming from nfl scouts on certain players.

Damn. That's a pretty bare roster. You've done a great job at cleaning the old and injecting the young. 3 years away from competing though imo.

Oh definetley it's a ways away from competing. I really love my start though, adding 4 potential starters to the defense, grabbing my franchise QB, and surrounding him with a ton of weapons. Probably two drafts and Luck's development away from competing though.

  8. I figure the Bears are going to get more physical on offense with the signing of Michael Bush so I picked up Cordy Glenn to push people around and Orson Charles as another safety valve for Cutler who generally held onto the ball too long in Mike Martz' offense. Josh Morgan should help things out if Johnny Knox doesn't return to form for one reason or another.

Coples seems like a good fit on defense for the Bears. In general, the pass rushers on my Bears roster are all massive and I figure that Coples potential is somewhere between Peppers and Idonije and should fit in perfectly.

    QB: Jay Cutler, Jason Campbell
RB: Matt Forte, Michael Bush, Kahlil Bell
TE: Orson Charles, Kellen Davis, Matt Spaeth
WR: Brandon Marshall, Johnny Knox, Devin Hester, Josh Morgan, Devin Thomas, Earl Bennett
OT: Cordy Glenn, Gabe Camiri, J'Marcus Webb
    C: Roberto Garza, Edwin Williams
G: Chilo Rachal, Lance Lewis, Ricky Henry

DE: Julius Peppers, Quinton Coples, Israel Idonije, Corey Wootton
DT: Matt Toeaina, Stephen Paea, Henry Melton, Jordan Miller
LB: Brian Urlacher, Lance Briggs, Geno Hayes, Blake Costanzo, Jabara Williams
CB: Charles Tillman, Tim Jennings, DJ Moore, Jonathan Wilhte, Asa Jackson
S: Chris Conte, Major Wright, Winston Guy Jr, Donovan Warren

    ST: Eric Weems
    K: Gould
    P: Podlesh

Rudsdog55, Brandon McKinney no longer plays for you, he signed for the Colts. Also surely if you're moving to the 4-6 you need to change the way that your defence is listed. You also don't have Tom Zbikowski.

    P: Chris Kluwe

    Offense:

Alright, I don't think I did that bad of a job. It was a solid draft for the Vikings even though people said that I reached on some players. I got a special athlete in Stephen Hill who has uncanny speed, size and jumping ability. While some fans say that he reminds them or Troy Williamson I disagree. Hill has the intangibles needed to succeed at WR and it gives Ponder a big target to throw at between the 20's. Ponder was incredibly efficient in the red-zone last year and keeping most the targets he had last year will improve or at least maintain that. Rudolph and Carlson will create some unique matchups in the 2 TE sets. Hill and Harvin are arguably one of the fastest pair of WRs in the NFL. Harvin along with Rudolph will be nice targets within 10 yards of the LOS. Hill can stretch deep.

Pass protection is much improved from the previous year. Ponder finally has a blindside protector that is able to give him time to drop back in the pocket. If Charlie Johnson is unable to pan out at LG (where he played some good years) then Senio Kelemete is a nice plug and play down the road towards weeks 10-12 when he knows the offense. Geoff Schwartz was a big addition in FA and gives a legitimate side of the field for Peterson to run behind. The protection is going to be way better than it was last year.

    Defense:

The defensive line is pretty well, although I would have liked to make an addition to the NT spot. I can still do that on round 7 or potentially in UDFA or in FA. The linebacking corps get a significant addition with Terrell Manning. Manning is a versatile linebacker who can play the Mike or Will. He will push both Erin Henderson and Jasper Brinkley to play good in order to keep their jobs. Henderson is on a one year contract that is a "prove it" contract, if he is able to play at a high level then Manning can be switched to Mike.

The secondary has been completely revamped. Winfield moves to strong safety where he can play the run most of the time, he is an excellent in the box defender and blitzer. Markelle Martin is the type of safety that the Vikings have needed for a very long time. He is a rangy safety that can make good plays by tackling and deflecting passes. He is not an interception machine but a good enough player to cause game changing plays. The Vikings secondary had problems last year with opponents because of poor safety play. Winfield can easily be a top 10 strong safety from the time he starts playing the position and Martin can be at least a good player that makes underrated plays.

The cornerback position mainly got filled through FA. Chris Cook is able to play with the team again and that is really good news for the Vikings. Cook has showed flashes of greatness at times and then flashes of incompetence at others. However, he can become the #1 CB that is able to shut down opposing receivers with a unique combination of speed, aggressive play, technique and size. His size will give other tall, physical WR's fits (Calvin Johnson). Chris Carr is a serviceable CB that will pave the way for Shaun Prater to get his opportunity to play at that position. Prater was a good scheme fit and one of the top CB's available at the end of the 4th round. Unless the Vikings switch from the cover 2 scheme, Prater was an excellent fit for the defense.
