Richardson prolly didn't want Hurney making any bonehead deadline trades.
Obviously, it wasn't smart to give two RBs as much as he gave DeAngelo and Stewart, but the owner did sign off on both those deals. Also, if you pay guys to be franchise RBs, it might be smart to give them more than 85 combined carries through 6 games. The two of them are averaging 16 carries COMBINED through 6 games. If Ron Rivera didn't wanna run the ball, it would have been nice if he told that to Hurney before he signed these guys to the extensions he did.
