Buying out other players in a fantasy league is a piece of shit maneuver.
Serious question. I only did one league this year, a 50$ 10-man PPR league with some of my buddies. Despite getting stuck with the 6th pick, I built a great team.
Matt Ryan
Julio Jones
Percy Harvin
Adrian Peterson
Doug Martin
Brandon Myers
Eric Decker/Darren Sproles
I didn't draft AP, I traded for him and Decker in week 5 for DMC and Stevie Johnson. Obviously got Myers off waivers.
Anyway, I'm very proud of my team, and it's the highest scoring team in the league. However, I'm only in 3rd place. This is where the question comes in.
I have an oppurtunity to buy out the 1st place team for 100$. I give him 100$, Martin and Myers, I get Foster and Graham. The money isn't an issue. The issue is if winning this league is worth tainting my efforts to build a great team through smart drafting.
What would you guys do?
