I have to say, I'd be pretty happy if we came out of the draft with those three as our top 3 picks. Hopefully Urlacher et al. can straighten out Austin.

    Walter added round 6...

  3. Jeff not sure if you've been following the combine but serious charachter concerns have surfaced about Greg Little.

    I heard.

Hopefully the Bears sign a FA WR.

Just read a report that said that Peppers restructured to save us $8 mil this year. And that Taylor will not be cut.

If it is true, that means we will have $35+ mil to play around with if the cap remains similar...

I was just wondering why on peoples "mock off-seasons" from here and other places that no one mentions Robert Gallery. If he comes for a reasonable amount, that would seem like a good thing.

OG Davin Joseph of the Buccaneers is a better, cheaper option.

Chicago’s front office now has the opportunity to really improve the team in 2011. They have a full allotment of draft choices and money to burn. What they should not do is spread the money out on a bunch of average players. The team doesn’t need anymore Frank Omiyale/Josh Bullocks-type acquisitions. It needs impact players who can start immediately.

The best strategy would be to grab at least two big name free agents like WR Sidney Rice, CB Nnamdi Asomugha, G Davin Joseph and OT Doug Free. Those types of signings breathe new life into teams and fire up the fan base. They're the kind of impact players that could be the missing pieces to the puzzle.

Kind of a blah time for football that is usually filled with speculation. This CBA needs to be done soon. Unfortunately it won't. It is hard to project what our draft will look like until we see what the CBA looks like. Imagine how the structure of the NFL would change if all of the tags got taken away...
