  • Ever Meet Anyone Famous?

My buddy just met and got his picture with Ben Stein so it made me think of this.

The most famous person I met was Jim Brown. I'm friends with the Smith family (Aaron Smith DE Pittsburgh Steelers) so I had a locker room pass after the Steelers faced the Browns on Dec 7, 2 years ago, and as we were waiting for him to change Jim Brown walked by (my favorite player of all time tied with Jerry Rice). This couple walked up to him and got their picture with him and then I spoke with him briefly telling him how great he was and then got my picture with him. Right after me a crowd started to form and he said 'No More!" and left.

I also met Arnold Schwartznager (sp) once, but I was to young to remember.

I met and had a pic taken with Mr. Belding from SBTB. He was the man. Screech was a tool. This happened during my freshman year of college.

Meet and got a pic with Misty May and Kerri Walsh after they won a AVP tour event in Brooklyn. Also met Todd Rodgers but I doubt any of you know who he is without looking it up.

Pinball is much more impressive, plus that guy just screams athleticism.

I travel a lot for business, so I spend much time at the Detroit airport. I've met Gordie Howe (I shook his enormous hand), sat next to Bo Schembechler in first class (too scared of him to start a conversation), Sparky Anderson (great guy, very friendly....will talk to anybody) and Bill Laimbeer.

I met Bill Cosby (alum from my HS), Paul Posluszny, Michael Robinson, Tamba Hali (sat next to him in 2 classes), Dan Connor, Anthony Morelli (unfortunately), other PSU players... I also have an interesting story about Austin Scott.

                      How about this obscure one:

Karl from Lost - he went to my grade school. LOL. Random.

I actually lived two doors down from The 3rd QB taken overall in the 2000 Draft, Giovanni Carmazzi, in the dorms at Hofstra. He was a really cool, really smart guy. He was awesome in college, and I think he never really got a fair shot in the Pros, as San Fran drafted him to replace Jeff Garcia, who hadn't been playing well, only to have Garcia step it up the next season and lock down the starting job. I don't think he ever even got to throw an NFL pass.

I've met a bunch of other people, but he's the only celebrity I can claim to have known.

Do not say Carmazzi's name. We wasted so much money on him and his injury settlement.
