  • No One Will Like My Mock Order

    1. Miami Dolphins- George Selvie, OLB, South Florida
-Could they get the #1 overall pick again? It's not like it's never happened before. Anyways, Selvie fits the mold of what Parcells likes in his pass-rushers.

    2. 49ers- Cullen Harper, QB, Clemson
-I don't think Harper is worth the #2 pick, he will be the best QB though. It's not uncommon for teams to reach for QBs though.

    3. Chiefs- Michael Oher, LT, Ole Miss
-After investing two consecutive picks on DTs the year before, the Chiefs still went with the best player available last year which is why I think that Oher will be too much to pass up.

    4. Lions- Sam Bradford, QB, Oklahoma
-Drew Stanton and Jon Kitna suck.

    5. Bungals- Chris Wells, RB, THE Ohio State
-I keep reading that the Bengals would like a power running back for their scheme.

    6. Falcons- Taylor Mays, SS, USC
-I don't think he deserves to go here, but no other player will benefit more from the Combine.

    7. Redskins- Greg Middleton, LE, Indiana
-Sorry MMONTERO, I think Zorn will suck and Jason Campbell will be mediocre. The Redskins did show a lot of interest in Phillip Merling last year.

    8. Titans- Rey Maualuga, MLB, USC
-Not much going on here with Ryan Fowler.

    9. Vikings- Vontae Davis, CB, Illinois
    - Cedric Griffin needs to be upgraded. They may go with a NT to replace Pat Williams, who I think will run out of gas next year.

    10. ****tsburgh- Eugene Monroe, LT, Virginia
-I'm going to trust Matt's word here. Getting sacked 6 times by the Redskins will be a wakeup call for the Steelers

    11. Raiders- Tyson Jackson, LE, LSU
-Jay Richardson isn't even that bad, but he's better as a rotational guy.

    12. Rams- Malcolm Jenkins, FS, THE Ohio State
-I could see Otogwe taking his game somewhere else after the season.

    13. Jacksonville- Demarcus Granger, DT, Oklahoma
-The shoplifting incident shouldn't be a big deal to the Jaguars when you consider that Khalif Barnes is on the team.

    14. Carolina- Sen'Derrick Marks, DT, Auburn
-This sucks because it means that John Fox probably got fired. I wouldn't be surprised if they made the Wild-Card though. They do need to give Julius Peppers some help though.

    15. Jets- William Moore, FS, Mizzou
-They need to make some changes to their secondary if they want to stop Randy Moss.

    16. Dallas- Aaron Kelly, WR, Clemson
-I think Aaron Kelly looks like every single WR not named T.O. on the Cowboy's roster.

    17. Texans- Myron Rolle, SS, Florida State
-Houston needs someone to pair up with Robinson, Bennett and Moulds.

    18. Bears- Michael Crabtree, WR, Texas Tech
-I think Crabtree is overrated, so I stuck him here.

    19. Browns-Victor Harris, CB, Virginia Tech
-Peyton Manning passing for 550 yards will be the low point of the season.

    20. Ravens- Jeff Owens, DT, Georgia
-My fav. team needs someone to groom to replace Trevor Pryce.

    21. Giants- Ciron Black, LT, LSU
-The fact that they put in clause in David Diehl's contract that mentions playing as a guard speaks for itself.

    22. Packers- Michael Johnson, RE, Georgia Tech
-Gbaja Biamila is kind of a meh player.

    23. Cardinals- Knowshon Moreno, RB, Georgia
-He could easily fall this far.

    24. Broncos- James Laurinaitis, MLB, THE Ohio State
    -So could this guy.

    25. Bucs- Jermaine Gresham, TE, Oklahoma
-This team doesn't have a lot of needs, but it could use a TE who isn't a rapist.

    26. Seattle- Duke Robinson, G, Oklahoma
-I did not want to put this team back in the playoffs. But I couldn't resist the defense.

    27. Bills- Alex Mack, C, California
-They should just keep upgrading that offensive line.

    28. Eagles- Darius Howard-Bey, WR, Maryland
-I don't know why everyone hates him. But he's got lots of potential, and I believe he will have an excellent year.

    29. Pats- Vince Oghabaase- DT, Duke
-I'll trust Matt again. I hear Richard Seymour is on his way out in New England.

    30. Colts- Greg Hardy, LE, Ole Miss
-Robert Mathis is a free agent and wasn't that great of a pass rusher to begin with.

    31. Saints- Brian Cushing, OLB, USC
-I think they've made enough upgrades to the defense to put them in contention.

    32. Chargers- Javarris James, RB, Miami
-They will win in England, which should guarantee a Super Bowl victory. I honestly just want the Miami streak to continue, but he is a good physical specimen who could have a big year at Miami.

    My Concerns:
-Perhaps this mock is too awesome?

Could be the worst mock I've ever seen. Clearly bias towards the order..

I really like that mock draft Puppy and you know I rarely give out praise...mock orders are overrated. People are really shocked by the mock order if they saw it 8 months in advance but they don't want to admit it.
        2014-2015 Kentucky Wildcats (38-1)

Congrats to Wisconsin. Even more congrats to UK haters.

And in 2006 siena, no one thought the Jets would be in the playoffs.

I don't get the Chiefs explanation? When did they draft DT's consecutively?

I realize i hit a nerve anytime i criticize a mock draft order with you Matt. I posted that to mess with IVF.

I actually think mixing up a mock draft order and being different from the norm is refreshing.

I don't think the Jets will select a FS (as of now) because either Abram Elam, Eric Smith, or Dwight Lowery will stick this season

Are they moving Lowery to FS? That could be a really good idea. Maybe he is a depth DB pick which was smart too. I assummed he was just going to be a depth CB.

I've read the Jets like his ball hawking abilities and with his 4.5 speed FS might be a great fit for him.

Have you read anywhere that he will play FS or are you just speculating?

It's mostly speculation amongst the fans.

Then as of now FS is a need. Until he plays FS, it is all speculation, therefore totally irrelevant until something is said by the Jets or we see him actually play the position.

I'm not saying it is a bad idea, just jumping the gun.

Judging by the title I'm shocked that the Ravens didn't win the Superbowl.

What I was saying is I personally don't feel FS will be a need based on how I feel the players at that position will play this season. Of course a mock draft has lots of subjectiveness to it and I could say I feel Ladainian Tomlinson will suffer a career ending injury this season and the Chargers will draft a RB in the 1st round of the 09 draft.
