  • Your teams' dream offseason

You be the GM of your favorite team and give me a realistic offseason (free agency and draft).

    http://huddlegeeks.com/NFL_Draft/tradevalue.htm
    http://www.footballsfuture.com/freeagents.html

Included is the NFL Draft trade value chart if you wanna trade up in the draft to get a higher/lower picks. Please make it realistic. Also is the list of Free Agents.

Some of you might want Derek Anderson, keep in mind it will cost a 1st and a 3rd.

Also as a note you can trade players on your team if they are expendable in the offseason and are rumored to be expendable...you can't just trade Marvin Harrison for the #8 overall pick.

Okay, here is the dream offseason for my Bucs:
Trade DT Jovan Haye and WR Michael Clayton to Giants for a 2nd round pick.

Free Agency (note we are 30M under the cap):
    Re-Sign DE Greg White
    Sign WR Bryant Johnson

    2008 NFL Draft:
    1. Pat Sims, DT, Auburn
    2a. Alex Mack, C, California
    2b. Antoine Cason, CB, Arizona
    3. Dorien Bryant, WR/RS, Purdue
    4. Chevis Jackson, CB, LSU
    5. Owen Schmitt, FB, West Virginia
    6. Art Caromdy, K, Louisville
    7. Sam Keller, QB, Nebraska

    Analysis
Okay, resigning Greg White is a must. The guy has been stellar all year long and he will cost us...I'm thinking 4 year deal for $14M. We trade away Clayton (who looked good today vs. HOU) and Jovan Haye. The Giants could use help at both positions, especially DT, so it makes a lot of sense. To replace Clayton we sign Bryant Johnson, who should be relatively inexpensive. I am thinking 3 year deal $6.6M. In the draft, we go with Pat Sims to rejuvenate us at the under tackle position. He is big and mean and I think he will have a very good combine showing...seems like one of those types of players. In the 2nd round we address our most glaring need at center with the best on in the draft in Alex Mack. We need to add a young corner and Cason is perfect in the Tampa 2 scheme. He can go man-man and this gives Monte a lot of versatility. Our 2nd biggest need is a return specialist, and Bryant fits this perfectly...also fills the need for a speedy slot WR. We draft Jackson for BPA in the 4th and more young depth at DB. We draft Schmitt because Alstott's career is over and while we have Askew I think Schmitt gives us depth at fullback. Never hurts to add a leader and talent like this on our roster even if we put him on practice squad, or we could even trade him eventually. We draft Carmody because not many other places we can go in the draft that can make our roster...maybe he becomes the next Akers who knows. Keller is a developmental guy. Great tools, but mentally isn't there. Just another QB for Gruden to work with.

Congrats to Wisconsin. Even more congrats to UK haters.

      Steelers:
      RE-SIGN FANECA!
Get Asante Samuel and Jake Scott in Free Agency.
Draft Bowman or Hardy (WR) in the first, Justin King (CB) in the second, trade up for Alex Mack (C) in the 2nd also.

....bring back the deadly one-two combo of Neil O'donnell and Krodell Stewart. . . alright maybe not.

Well like I am sure you know that Resigning Faneca isn't going to happen...and personally I think it is a smart move for his price tag.

It's the dream offseason. I guess we'd trade Kordell for Mack.

Impressive stuff BR good job...I totally agree with you the Bills could definately be one of those teams that really gets a huge boost from an extra 3rd round pick in trading down in the first.

South Carolina is a DB machine...out of all the Kentucky games I watched this year they had the best backfield...even better than LSU.

Matt, I think Ko was rated a 1st round guy how did he fall to the 4th? Same thing with Ashton Youboty he was a 1st-2nd he fell to the 3rd.
