Post your teams' needs here if you want...in order from biggest need to smallest need.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
1. Center
John Wade is a huge weak link on the OL, but this year Aaron Sears and Davin Joseph have picked up the slack. If the Bucs had a big, powerful center it would make a huge differene in the running game. Also note how many botched snaps we have had this season, pretty much costing us the Lions game (2 turnovers).
2. Cornerback
Barber and Kelly are old and we need someone to replace these guys eventually.
3. Under Tackle
Jovan Haye isn't getting a lot of pressure and we could use a big upgrade here (Pat Sims is on my wish list). He is a liability vs. the run too. Greg Peterson is a developmental player...I'd love to see a DT tandem of Peterson and Sims in the future.
4. Speedy Slot Wide Receiver/Return Specialist
I'd love for us to get a guy like Donnie Avery or Lavelle Hawkins. We don't have any speed at the WR position other than Galloway (and he has 2 more good years in him I think). Michael Spurlock isn't gonna cut it. If we could get a premier return guy it would make a huge difference for our team.
Those are truly our only 4 needs. Earnest Graham has been great this year for us at runningback, and we bring back Cadillac in mid-season next year and Michael Bennett will learn the rest of the playbook in the offseason and be able to contribute next year when called upon. We are very talented and deep at every other position on defense. Donald Penn has had a fantastic year for us at LT and he is only 24 years old so I expect him to get stronger in the offseason...also we have Luke Petigout coming off that ACL injury so it will be a huge camp battle.
Jeff Garcia has 1-2 years left in him imo. Luke McCown has impressed me a lot this year. Most Buc fans are overly critical but I don't have huge expectations for him if he can execute the offense. I don't think drafting a rookie QB is the answer for this position and I don't think we will address it. I just don't see the upgrade in drafting a Colt Brennan or Josh Johnson when we have McCown on our roster to be a future starter. We might draft a QB in the late rounds to be a backup because Gradkowski will be cut in the offseason.
