2002: Tampa Bay goes 12-4. Best record in the NFL.
      2003: Tampa wins the Superbowl.

      2003: Pats win 14 games.
      2004: Pats win Superbowl

2004: Pats win win 14 games.
      2005: Pats win Superbowl

2005: Steelers go 15-1 only to lose in the playoffs.
2006: Next year they win the Superbowl.

2006: Indy goes 14-2 but loses to 6th seed Pittsburgh. 2007: Indy wins the Superbowl

2007: Chargers go 14-2 but give the game away to NE.
      2008: ???

If a team puts up the best regular season one year they have a great shot at winning the Superbowl next year? Maybe it's a coincidence. No one expected the Steelers to do it, and lots of people expected the Colts to get run over again by New England. The Chargers shouldn't be taken lightly.

That being said. I think the Chargers would beat the Browns, but I also think the Chargers and Steelers will win their next two regular season games. Which gives them the same record. Since the Steelers are 5-0, (6-0 in the division after the beat Baltimore) they would have the three seed and face the Browns. Like their last two meetings I think Pittsburgh would handle the Browns especially because the Steelers have playoff experience.

I would love to see that Pats go down. they can go 16-0 and lose 2nd rd (their first game) and that's fine by me. Not sure if anyone but Indy can do it but What about Green Bay winning this year so Favre can finally retire? Anyone?

what makes you think favre would retire

I like the best record the previous year wins superbowl next year, but I think that probably gets thrown out when you rehaul the coaching staff, (that wasn't gruden's first year there was it?) if so then i'll revise, doesn't apply when you rehaul the coaching staff with norv turner as head coach.

If Bret Favre is in the super bowl I will be forced not to watch television for two weeks. There is no way I am dealing with the ass kissing that will take place.

It will be very painful that is for sure...but whether it is Favre or Romo/T.O. I think it will get very old fast.

I like the Giants chances if they were to go on the road to Tampa, mind you they need to make it first.
