Walter the bowls are so awesome.
You don't want a playoff for the sake of determining a national champion.
You want a playoff because you (and most everyone else) loves playoffs.
It is why ESPN did the really dumb "Who's Now" tournament to fill time on Sportscenter (Who's now...sportscenter poppin...still in my ****ing head). And now they are going to do the best plays of all time tournament on SC.
The BCS has done a good job of determining the national champion most of the time, and in college football determining a national champion is very very overrated anyways because it is the most regional sport in the world.2014-2015 Kentucky Wildcats (38-1)

The Bowls are stupid Matt. Maybe they determine a champion MOST of the time, but the playoffs get it every time.
What if the Patriots didn't get a shot in the Superbowl this year, despite being undefeated, because they play in the worst division?
Remember how pissed you got when Walter moved the Pats down to 3rd on his power ranking? Well welcome to the BCS ranking.
Bowl games are stupid and glorify less than the best. I've always thought that.Comment

Determining a "true" national champion is very overrated though in college football.
Don't even think about comparing the Patriots and Hawaii that is ****ing ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous. 32 teams in teh NFL, the best players in the world. Not 200 teams. No gimmick offenses. No recruiting, it is totally different...that comparisiion is a joke don't even go there.2014-2015 Kentucky Wildcats (38-1)

College football has the greatest regular season in sports. You put a playoff in it, and it automatically takes that away because the losses don't mean as much.2014-2015 Kentucky Wildcats (38-1)

Oh yeah and as far as the Patriots playing in the worst division, they beat the Colts and the Cowboys, among other great teams in this league.
The only good team the Warriors have beaten is well, nobody.2014-2015 Kentucky Wildcats (38-1)

The best regular season in sports? How much weight does that bear? It's the regular season. Do I even need to explain it any further? The regular season. I feel like Allen Iverson talking about practice b/c you're talking about the regular season like it has some other meaning than to help determine the post season.Comment

If the regular season the best part about your sport, your sport's got problems.
Like I said before, if the BCS were implemented in the NFL, your Bucs wouldn't even have a shot this year. They wouldn't have even played in the Super Bowl the year they won the championship! Think about that.
And you never answered my question - which of the three categories do you fall under? Did you even read what I have to say on that page?Comment

Yeah I wouldn't rule out that he's secretly an 80-year-old greedy college president.Comment
