Ok, we all know (or at least thik we know) that Ryan, Brohm and Woodson will be picked in the first round of the upcoming draft. But what about the other QB:s in this draft. Where do you think guys like Ainge, Flacco, Brennan, Booty, Dixon and Henne will be heading? Which teams should be looking to add them and why?
A few thoughts:
Ainge:
I would not be surprised to see Indianpolis pick him up. Why? For a few resons.
- His play at Tennessee has been very peytonesque looking calm, and making good reads.
-Sure, Indy already got Peyton, but he will be 32 by the time the 2008 season rolls around, and imagine Ainge after a few years of learning behind Manning
- Sorgi. We saw him play against the Titans (with a whole lot of other reserves, but still): Did he scare anyone? Did he look good?
- Sorgi is the Colts only backup QB.
Booty:
Since his return from the broken finger Booty has been looking good. He was very good against Illinois in the Rose Bowl and I think he'll be a good quarterback in a west coast offense. Would not be surprised to see him getting picked by the bucs (Sure they have one gazillion qb's already, But Garcia is old and will any of the other be their big QB?)
Henne:
Depending on how far he falls. He played great against the Gators and if Joe Hart hadn't fumbled every time they got near the endzone their victory margin would have been even greater. I would not be surprised to see a team like the Dolphins pick him in the late third/early fourth round. Sure the Dolphins picked up Beck in the second round last year, but look at the bills who picked up Trent Edwards in the third round last year despite having Losman.
