Makes a lot of sense. I like it. Chevis jackson will prob move up. Do you really think Tribble will go round 3? I wold have guessed 2. I pray that the Eagles don't take Steltz. Hes way to slow. Imagine Considine and Steltz forming the slowest, whitest tandem ever. I like the Balmer pick for the skins, thats a good thought. They need De and WR as well, but I think Saunders would beg for balmer
Lots of great CBs in this draft, any one of them could slip to Round 3 or even Round 4.
Well, I think Steltz is an upgrade over Considine. I don't see them playing at the same time. If they do get Steltz, it'll be him and Quentin Mikell once Dawkins retires.
Great Job. The Saints ,judging from last years draft, may do something stupid and go TE in the 2nd or 3rd although I hope not.
Couple questions,
Why did Cason slip to the late 1st ? Depth?
Also Ive watched Bubba Caldwell play all year and I think he'd be lucky to be drafted in the third. He drops a ton of balls.
I like how you showed John David Booty some love, alot of people have him going later and I dont understand why.
hey Walter..why did you have the Jets picking in the 72nd spot in round 3 when they have the 67th pick? You have them drafting after both of Buffalo's picks instead of after Kansas City.
Did Bills_Red put you up to this? lol.

Walter, you have the NY Giants taking WR Doucet in round 2. I agree that Toomer is slowing down and will need to be replaced sometime soon, but isn't that why NY drafted Steve Smith and Sinorice Moss (both of whom have looked pretty good in limited action)? Also, NY does not make great use of its WR2 anyway, since Burress, Shockey, and the running game are the first three options for offense, so why burn another high draft pick on a WR? It seems that if NY takes someone for offense here, it might need to reach for a better backup QB (and insurance in case Eli melts down again next season). Defense seems a better option, and there are several strong LBs left (Adibi, Vince Hall, Henderson, Highsmith) and some CBs too. Or do you think they are not so confident in Smith/Moss at WR?
Thanks for all the hard work on these mocks. I enjoy them.
[Edit: Thinking about this further, it makes no sense for NY for draft a backup QB early in the draft. Doing so would create a needless QB controversy ("needless" because whoever NY might draft would be a tier-two QB in this draft, and unlikely to displace Manning ultimately, and also because any controversy in the NY media spotlight would be harmful to the team). NY's bench seems like a prime place for one of the QBs on other teams who has lost his starter spot -- maybe Grossman, Leftwich, Harrington, Boller, Losman, or Quinn Gray. Maybe even someone like Andrew Walter, Billy Volek, or Chris Simms? Alternatively, maybe Pennington could just swap uniforms next season ... which would be really fun to watch, although probably no fun for Chad.]

Wow, I have no idea why I did this. Thanks for catching that.

Just a lot of talent in this draft drops Cason down a bit. He could go higher.
Caldwell could go as high as 2, and as low as 4 in my opinion.
Booty definitely improved himself in his postseason exhibition match. I think people still remember the loss to Stanford.

Glad you liked the mock... I think the Giants need a WR2 if Toomer leaves/gets hurt again. Plus, Plaxico is getting older. As for Smith/Moss, I think they're a good fit in the slot position... I don't think either is a good WR2.
Groves in round 1 is hilairious. omg, he weighs more and has a faster 40 = pro prospect!
Um no. Groves isn't nearly the prospect that Harvey is and maybe if you watched him play you would realize this. He didn't even play DE for Auburn at the end of the year!

Congrats to Wisconsin. Even more congrats to UK haters.
