5 time pro bowl middle lineback Al Wilson has been medically cleared to return to the NFL for the 2008 season. He is currently a unrestricted free agent after being released by the Broncos this past offseason due to salary cap reasons and a career threatening neck injury.
Wilson at the age of 30 would be nothing more than a band-aid for any team in need of a middle linebacker. But, if it proves right and he passes a teams physical he could be a 2 year or so fix for a team.
I expect Wilson to land somewhere for next season, is not back in Denver then Detroit, Arizona or even New England could be emporary homes for him.
Report comes from John Clayton of ESPN, as indicated on KFFL.
