I think it is a great decision to work with Petrino because he is one of the top 2 offensive minds in the college game (other being Steve Spurrier).

It is a bad decision because Petrino can not be trusted.

I'm not being a homer but Kentucky would have been a better decision. Joker Phillips and Rich Brooks can develop him like they developed Andre Woodson. They run a pro style offense, and they have a very good OL in place. Plus the stability of knowing the coaching staff will always be there for him. If Brooks ever decides to retire Phillips will likely be promoted.

Congrats to Wisconsin. Even more congrats to UK haters.

Petrino is a jerk! Can't be trusted! Now I hope Mallet fails along with the Razorbacks!

I actually read on NFL Draft Scout that Mallet has yet to make a decision. Arkansas could be jumping the gun.

UCLA was a leading candidate at one point...some source was wrong about him actually transferring.

Hasn't been confirmed yet...everything on the net I am reading says he has still yet to make a decision.

I think Arkansas jumped the gun.

Arkansas hasn't gotten the official transfer papers from UM yet, but it looks like Mallett is going to be a Razorhog.

Did you guys decide if there was a rule or not that allowed players whose head coach had left to transfer and not sit the year?

I guess even if he sits, he'd be redshirted, right?

I don't know. Both Walter and I believe he doesn't have to sit out since the head coach isn't with the team anymore and he was recruited by him.

I dont know if their is a way to by pass the rule. Mallett has made it clear that his understanding is that he has to sit out a year, but is redshirted. So he will still have 3 years of eligability starting in09.
