  • Why wasn't Lloyd Carr...

...Fired after last week's game? Seems they're a bit slow with things up in Ann Arbour.

Carr needs to be fired TONIGHT.

Lloyd Carr needs to finish the season for UM. Firing Carr brings more confusion and negativity to this team than keeping him.

They are in no rush to fire him. The season is cooked. Just take your losses and start over next year.

Congrats to Wisconsin. Even more congrats to UK haters.

Exactly. Their season is cooked. Why have these seniors suffer with a lame-duck coach?

Because Walter, if UM wants a new coach, it won't be an attractive job if they fire Carr mid-season.

Coaches want security and a move such as you are suggesting is the opposite of that.

You can fire Carr right after the last game of the season and let him coach the bowl game if UM makes it that far.

I mean, as bad as Carr has been for this team, its not like Chad Henne is looking like a first or second round draft pick. He is playing horrible. As far as I'm concerned, he is just a big a reason for this team's demise as is the defense and Carr's leadership. Speaking of leadership, Henne just hasn't been there.

                  Also Walter,

What how does firing Carr makes this a better football team? It makes them even worse and it bring so much CHAOS to that locker room.

It won't happen as much as the fans would like it to happen. I don't understand how firing Carr is by any means a good move in mid-season.

How about a litttle bit of blame attributed to the ****ing players. The defense is a joke and Henne is just isn't getting it. The OL is below average outside of Jake Long who is actually playing brilliantly.

How far do you think Henne has fallen in terms of draft stock?

He can rebound, players can always rebound because it is early in the season.

Right now though, tough to say. With the talent he has around him, I'd say round 5.

Most QBs just don't have guys like Mario Manningham and Jake Long on offense. The rest of the OL deserves some blame, but if you are a great QB then you can play with pressure, you have to play with pressure.

This is what makes QBs like Erik Ainge and Andre' Woodson great. They can take a hit and they aren't scared.

Brian Brohm might be in for something against Kentucky. He is very overrated in the sense that he has never succeeded when pressured. Ever. He looks great against teams with slow DLs. His OL and offensive scheme makes him look a little better than what he is. I don't know if he can stand in the pocket and take a hit. I still think he is easily the #2 QB and he has impressed me enough lately to be a top 15 pick. His arm strength is better than what I thought, but it is a long season.

                        Also, more on Henne.

He has fallen so low because we had questions about his decision making and POISE in the pocket last year and he hasn't improved on this. This could just be part of the package with his great arm. I hope he plays better, he really is a talented QB I just think he lacks confidence more than anything.

I've moved him to Round 3. I still think he's ranked higher than Josh Johnson, Matt Flynn, etc.

Oh yea definately Walter you are right, but I still wouldn't take him in round 3.

Fact of the matter is, this class is much weaker at the QB position than we thought.

Outside of Woodson, Brohm, Ainge, and Ryan, not much to speak of.

Teams looking for backups franchise backups need to just sign FAs.
