  • Lynch going to 9th Pro Bowl

I've been out of the DB news loop with the season over and playoffs and my new job and all so I just found this out, even though it's been known for a week. I'm not entirely convinced he deserves to go, even though I love him to death and he would be the first Bronco I would turn gay for if I had to and he was 10 years younger.

So, is Lynch a lock for the HOF? He's never been a real standout impact player, but on the weight of his good play over a decade and a half, I'd have to say yes. Plus of course, he has that SB ring from Tampa.

I'd say he is HOF material.

BS again. Kerry Rhodes easily deserves it over Lynch for 2 seasons in row.

Lynch might be one of the better safetys ever to play. He deserves it.

Not saying he isn't gonna make the HOF, because the Pro Bowl isn't about that. It's about who had the best season. He wasn't the 3rd best AFC SS in the league.

Dont know who should have went but him going was most likely out of respect from the coaches for years of great play and his great personality. Hell Michael Jordan wasn't the third best Shooting Guard in the Eastern Conferance and the coaches put him on the team and the starting guard was going to let him start during his last All Star game after his second comeback. That was crap but it happened. Reputation is as big with players getting on as backups as performance. Need to remember that whether you agree or not.

As a die hard bucs fan I wouldn't vote him into the HOF. Really really good player, but not HOF great.

Derrick Brooks, Ronde Barber, and Warren Sapp are the only Bucs I would put in the HOF of recent.

Congrats to Wisconsin. Even more congrats to UK haters.

Lynch is a great player and his character may be smething that puts him over the top in the voting. HOF loves high Character Role Models.

He's very boaderline HOF to me. I wish the Hall was a bit stricter. I love Lynch, but I wouldn't want him to go into the Hall of Fame.

It seems like its a lot harder to get into the HOF as a non-key player. If Lynch were a QB with 15 seasons and 9 pro bowls under his belt (no prizes for guessing who I am thinking of here) they'd already be doing his bust. However he plays in perhaps the least appreciated (and lowest paid) position on the wrong side of the ball.

What about my man Chris Harris!? He had a pretty solid year starting for the Panthers at safety. 96 tackles, 8 forced fumbles, one pick. I'd say that is a very good season for Harris, having his break out season.

I've always thought Lynch's pass coverage skills were overrated as well.
