Walter, what's your reasoning for flip-flopping Mendenhall and Stewart as the #2 and #3 RBs? I completely agree it's hard to pick between the two of them, but you must have had a reason for the swap. Was it all of the talking up of Mendenhall from McGuire/May****? Do you think Arizona will view Mendenhall as a better fit than Stewart? Or something else?

For the record, I like Jonathan Stewart better than Rashard Mendenhall, but Mendenhall's stock has clearly risen. GMs and scouts listen to guys like Mayock, Kiper, etc. and if they're all in love with a guy, teams are more likely to take a look at him.

Fair enough. I agree with you on Stewart, but understand that GMs and scouts may view it differently (and frankly they're more knowledgeable than I am anyway).

lol scouts don't listen to kiper and mayock...they have their own scouting department. Mel just listens to the scouts (mayock doesn't)

GMs and coaches do. I think it's pretty naive to think that they don't influence the draft.

It's probably two-fold. They talk to scouts, and scouts talk to them. No one does this in a vacuum.
