Joe Flacco a John Navarre, Andrew Walter mix?

After watching film and the passing drills at the Combine this weekend, one NFL QBs coach compared Joe Flacco to John Navarre and Andrew Walter.

"He’s a big, tall, long release guy," the QBs coach said. "Fundamentally he’s pretty good. But I watched him take about a million sacks on tape. He couldn't move around. What’s going to happen in the NFL? Just like...Andrew Walter. He's going to be out of the league in another year. Do you want him?"

Interesting. I don't think there is anyone saying that Flacco is NFL ready by any means. That's why he isn't going round one. He can learn how to scoot around in the pocket though and his footwork will improve. I don't think he will be out of the league, and I think he will eventually start for an NFL team.

I think Flacco would be great for Carolina if they could get him in round 2

Matt Moore looked pretty good for a raw rookie with nothing to work with.

Chicago or Atlanta for me are where he ends up.

Ya thats true but do you really want to put all your faith in Matt Moore? Chicago was my second choice he would defidently fit well there too.

Yes, we are going to listen to a scout talk like Flacco is destined to start from day 1. We listen to the ones that know he will not be start and will have his skills tuned as a number 2 guy gor a year or 2.

I'd wouldn't put him in until his third year. The he'll still have some bumps to work out.
