  • This CB class' speed disgusts me

look at these times...I don't think I have ever seen a CB class with so much speed before. Absolutely unreal even Talib ran an UO 4.47 and Cason ran a O 4.49.

DMC ran 4.33 which probably locks him into the first round. McKelvin is the most skilled and ran a 4.4 which solidifies him on my board as the #1 CB.

I skimmed it most disappointing time was Brandon Flowers and so now I think he plays into that second round mix likely to a Tampa 2 team (tampa bay please draft this kid).

I think Talib played himself into the first round as people questioned his speed but he ran a very solid 4.47. I am not sure if his stock will drop based on unimpressive game speed (from what I have seen in games).

Anyways discuss this CB class and your projections/thoughts after their impressive combine.

Congrats to Wisconsin. Even more congrats to UK haters.

Don't you mean DRC, though DMC ran a 4.33 as well.

When I saw Talib which was very little, the game seemed natural to him. He didn’t get nervous with the ball in the air, like he was in his backyard. This was just a quick impression, please tell if I’m wrong.

Wow, though, just looking up DRC's other numbers, 38.5" vert 10'11" broad with 17 reps at 225. As a small school guy these numbers are really important for him however for me all they do is back up what I saw at the senior bowl. With the deflowering of Flowers in the 40, and a less than inspiring vert of 30", he might still be moving up draft boards.

Ya, I loved DRC at the combine. He's could be the #3 CB in the draft imo.

I thought Talib was always a first-round pick, the lowest I ever had him was No. 33

Talib should be a low-1st round pick IMO. Here are my CB rankings:

                1. McKelvin
                2a. Jenkins
                2b. DRC
                3. Smith
                4. Cason
                5. Talib

we all knew he wasn't goin to run fast. Like Mayock said a 4.5-4.6 would be good for him

Do you think NFL teams and on seekers put to much emphasis on 40 times?

I think the CB position is the most important when the 40 time comes in as a factor because it helps us evaluate recovery speed ... that said it is always a combo of game speed and 40 speed not just either one individually.

Mayock said he was actually disappointed with Flowers' 40 time

So I just watched the Combine and I think DRC has a shot to go No. 7 (if the Jets take McKelvin at No. 6) or No. 10.

Did Mike Jenkins not run? they didn't mention him.
