probably a majorly back-loaded deal so they'll just cut him before they actually have to pay him anything. this keeps the cap numbers down and then he gets the ax when they go back up.

He got a 5 year b/c he is young and is our best NT (not saying much). He is very strong, but has never lived up to his potential.

I believe it had to do with cap issues. He was due to earn like $5 million or something next season and the Pats don't have the money to pay him esp if they wanna keep Randy Moss.
