I was screaming at my radio (yes, I'm that old fashion) when I heard we picked Smith. I kept saying Smith would bust and Edwards was the right pick. But noooo, the 49ers had to fall in love with that idiotic Alex Smith.
I wouldn't say Braylon would be the right pick cuz he wasn't the dynamic WR you should take #1 overall...if you aren't Calvin Johnson you shouldn't be takent #1 as a WR.
Remember, he was looking like a bust his first two years in the league but he finally stayed healthy last year and his career looks promising now.

Congrats to Wisconsin. Even more congrats to UK haters.
Honestly, I was really high on Mike Williams. When Tampa picked Caddy over MW I was disappointed. I liked him a lot as a sophomore at USC, but I didn't have access to his combine interviews where I guess teams didn't like his attitude/love for the game. Everything I read about the kid was how hard he worked for the combine and how great of a work ethic he had. I thought he was going to be an exceptional player in this league.
I think his busting comes down to he just doesn't really love the game. In it for the money...and while there is nothing wrong with that if you don't give your career a 100% effort you won't be much in this league, which is why his career has gone the way it has gone.

It wasn't about numbers...it never really is unless the #s are bad (Darrius Heyward-Bey last year for instance). I liked his talent. I thought he was athletic on jump balls, had great hands, and was a prototypical WCO possession receiver...I remember calling him a more athletic/stronger Keyshawn Johnson.
