    Here's the e-mail:

You're kind of a stupid ****er when you say Jacques Reeves was one of the worst cover corners in the league. He STARTED 13 games at corner for the Cowboys. Regardless of whether you're right or wrong about his skills, you don't even know the position he played the majority of the year. How in the hell am I supposed to take you seriously. LOL. Dumb****.

    My Response:

Thanks for checking out my site.

Sorry you don't agree with my assessment of Jacques Reeves. Reeves started 13 games for the Cowboys because the team had injuries and depth issues at that position. Corner was actually the weakest area for that team last year. It's why they were targeting two corners in the first few rounds of April's draft even before Reeves bolted for Houston.

Just because a player starts in the NFL doesn't make him good. David Carr started a bunch of games for Carolina last year. Is he a good quarterback? I hope not - or I really have to start reevaluating myself in terms of reading talent.

    Thanks for the e-mail,

    Walt

Wow, he is really emotional about an irrelevant player whose team gladly let go in free agency.

I'm always blown away by people to take a simple disagreement to a rudely personal level.

Yeah, "and Vinny Testaverde started a bunch of games as well, but that doesn't mean he didn't have to take his medication at half-time."

I like David Carr so I'm going to give him some company and throw Travaris Jackson under the bus with him.

Yeah. Reeves started more games than Antonio Cromartie, therefore he is a better corner and should have been in the pro bowl. QED.

Im a Carr fan. Not his fault he was given a crappy ine in Houston, beaten up, became jumpy, and now has ittle confidence. After 4 years of the pounding he took my massive ego may even get knocked down a notch or two.

Oh, and emailers like that need counseling.

I thought if Carr couldn't get it done in Carolina his career was finished. Horrible draft last year for Carolina imo, I thought all along if Brady Quinn fell to their pick they shoulda taken him, hopefully Matt Moore works out.

What is the deal with these people that send in emails like that? Are they 13 years old? How can they expect to be taken seriously when they insult people right off the bat?

Walter, I think your responses are terrific and you come across as far more intelligent, which I'm sure burns their @ss even more.

Carr is done. He'll be a career backup, and continue to get work because he was a number one pick overall and teams have a glimmer of hope he could break out at any time because of that. Anyway that will never happen, and he'll be warming the bleachers for the rest of his career.

Of course he is stated to be backing up Eli in 09, but anything is an upgrade on Jared Lorenzen who shouldn't be anywhere near an NFL team.
