Yes it is possible. Chuck Woolery game show host has "2 and 2" copywritten. Only he can use it.

$250 per copywrite when I looked into it 2 years ago. But it pisses people off.

It would take weeks for that copyright to become official with the eyes of the law anyway, with all the paperwork and processing time associated with it. My guess is 6-8 weeks after you pay and file it before it would become official.
