Wow, finally, Craig's mock is back! I was wondering when he would update it. Now, on to the picks. The Ryan pick WILL NOT HAPPEN!!! Miami does not have any interest in Ryan!!! Gholston ahead of Long is questionable, and I didn't like ATL's pick with Jake Long available. KC's pick is very good, NE pick is not my favorite, but BAL and NO picks were good. Bottom half of the mock was very good, I especially liked HOU and PHI picks, since I don't see them a lot. For the 50th time, GUARDS DO NOT GO IN THE FIRST ROUND PEOPLE!!. As I side note to you and all other mock draft makers, Troy State is now Troy.

An unusual but daring top of the round. Very interesting. As for the Lions pick, most are now picking Mendenhall, but none have LB Rivers available. I think if it shakes out this way, the Lions take Rivers and go for RB in round 2. They are worse off at LB after losing Boss Bailey and Teddy Lehman.

Hey Craig let's be honest. I'd like to see what you think on how any QB in the NFL could be any good with that talent Miami had on offense last year, which was none. I addressed this all in my radio show appearence and yes on that show I made an extremely logical argument that nills any chance Miami has of going with a QB in the first four rounds of this draft.
Also, I'd like to know why the Pats would draft Clady when Light and Kazcur gave Tom Brady great protection for 18 games this year. Brady has all the time in the world I don't see how Clady would be much of an upgrade over what they already have.
Really bad top half of the mock, very solid bottom half of the mock. Too many illogical picks at the top half, which spoils it for me, and you also do a poor job of making sense of them other than your personal preferences.Last edited by Matt McGuire; 03-22-2008, 02:31 PM.2014-2015 Kentucky Wildcats (38-1)
Congrats to Wisconsin. Even more congrats to UK haters.

The worst pick of this mock, and it shows that Craig really doesn't understand player fits ni the Draft, is Jeff Otah to Houston.
Yeah they drafted Charles Spencer two years ago, but Spencer I believe is going to be healthy going into training camp, and he is more athletic than Otah.
Otah is a big, mauling RT type and the Texans love athletic, quick OL types for their ZBS.
It's a very bad fit.2014-2015 Kentucky Wildcats (38-1)

Craig sent me an update a month ago, but I was swamped, so I pushed it off. Unfortunately, it got buried on my gmail account so I forgot about it.
I have to apologize for that.

Matt Ryan #1, Good to see someone else can see the forest threw the tree’s around here.
Not to knock anyone’s opinion.
My biggest argument is that McFadden is nothing more the a William Green clone with speed.Browns fan since 1961.....(semper-fi)

In 2006 the Buccs selected Davin Joseph, from Oklahoma, with the 23rd pick of the first round.
In 2005 the Patriots selected Logan Mankins, from Fresno State, with the 32nd pick of the first round.
In 2004 the Giants selected Chris Snee, from Boston College, with the second pick of the second round.
In 2003 the Bengals selected Eric Steinbach, from Iowa, with the first pick of the second round.
In 2002 the Steelers selected Kendall Simmons, from Auburn, with the 30th pick of the first round.
In 2001 the Cardinals selected Leonard Davis, from Texas, with the second pick of the first round and the Seahawks selected Steve Hutchinson, from Michigan, with the 17th pick of the first round.
Every year for the last seven years a Guard has been selected either in the first round or as close to it as possible. With Branden Albert being the consensus #1 Guard in this draft and given the history of the draft I'd say it's highly unlikely that he WON'T go in the first.
