  • Alternative Mock Draft?

A reader sent me an e-mail with what I think is a good idea.

He said I should create a realistic mock draft where all of my picks are different from my real mock, just to show that anything can happen on draft day.

What do you think, should I do it?

Dang Walter, people sure do expect a lot from you. If you have the time to do it, go for it.

you should have 1 with what you think the teams will do and 1 with what you'd do. Kinda like what the reader said

While you're at it, why not factor in trades you think could happen. That way it'll be totally different from the current one.

It won't be 5 rounds; most likely only 2-3

I think even just rounds would cover most of the surprise picks and trades

Well I feel like an idiot. I thought that Walter's mocks were intended to be "realistic".

He didn't mean it like that.

He said he liked my mocks, but thought I should create a new one that's completely different while keeping the realism.

I had this idea too but I just figured I'd write up the pre draft analysis to provide the draft range
                          2014-2015 Kentucky Wildcats (38-1)

Congrats to Wisconsin. Even more congrats to UK haters.

This idea I really like. Then you could go: If I was their GM I'd see to their glaring need at [position] now and pick this guy.
