Sure, there will be lots of great defensive players to fill the Jets needs at #6. But, history has proven the Jets can screw up a high draft pick. Who do you think the Jets will pick?

Depends on who is available.
The last first round **** up they made IMO is drafting DE Bryan Thomas in 2002 when they had ProBowler John Abraham and future ProBowler Shaun Ellis starting at DE, when FS Ed Reed was on the board. FS was a need for them that year too!
They haven't done too horrible in the 1st round since.
Santana Moss
Jonathan Vilma
Dewayne Robertson (looked fine at the time)

That would make me angry seeing how I think Kellen Clemens still deserves a chance. They should also try to fill another hole instead of bringing another QB in esp with an early pick to compete with Clemens and Pennington at camp.WalterFootball.com Forum Moderator

Not a chance? Since your post I did some searching to see if anyone else shared my feeling even a little bit. I found this. . .
NFL Network's Mike Mayock unveiled his new Mock Draft Friday, with a few surprises. I may discuss those later, but I wanted to mention something Mayock and two NFL Network analysts said Friday: That the Jets were hoping Matt Ryan fell to them at six.
It's surprising how little this has been said because the Jets do need a quarterback. There were high hopes about Kellen Clemens coming out of college, but his ugly first stretch as a starter raises serious questions. NFLN analyst Mike Lombardi doesn't believe Clemens can throw to the outside, especially in the Meadowlands. If the Jets brass truly believes they are safe through 2009 regardless, as their owner said, then Ryan makes a lot of sense if both rush linebackers are off the board.

I think the Raiders will end up taking Gholston leaving Mcfadden for the Jets.Comment
