  • 2009 NFL Mock Draft

can only post the 1st 10 picks from drftblitz

The order for this mock draft was determined by simulating ahead in Madden 2008 for XBox 360, so if you feel the need to complain about the placement of your team, please do so to John Madden. Also the 2009 (and all future mock drafts) should not be looked upon as a follow-up to the 2008 Mock Draft. They should all be viewed independently as we're simply trying to fill holes with players who's draft stock is around that particular level.

    1. Atlanta Falcons - *Tim Tebow (QB) Florida
    2. Miami Dolphins - James Laurinaitis (MLB) Ohio State
    3. Green Bay Packers - *Chris Wells (RB) Ohio State
    4. St. Louis Rams - Malcolm Jenkins (CB) Ohio State
    5. Oakland Raiders - *Andre Smith (OT) Alabama
    6. Detroit Lions - *Vontae Davis (CB) Clemson
    7. Kansas City Chiefs - "Duke" Robinson (OG) Oklahoma
    8. Chicago Bears - *Percy Harvin (WR) Florida
    9. Minnesota Vikings - Rey Maualuga (MLB) USC
    10. Buffalo Bills - Michael Oher (OT) Mississippi

Even though we don't need a T Michael Oher at 10 would be great

nice to see that the packers dropped 30 picks. that's funny right there.

Anyone that has an ILB with a top 3 pick, is an idiot. That position is a dime a dozen and not as valuable as an OT or DL.

Once I see a pick like that, I throw it out the window.
        2014-2015 Kentucky Wildcats (38-1)

Congrats to Wisconsin. Even more congrats to UK haters.

I would shoot myself in the face if the bears took Harvin over Oher. Harvin wouldn't even return kicks.

Tebow to Atlanta...what cruel irony that would be...I don't think I could both root for the Falcons and root for Tebow to get knocked the f*ck out, could I?

But either way, the Green Bay at number 3 makes absolutely no sense, so I guess I have no worries about this one coming to fruition.

              Too early/waste of time...

Maualuga, jenkins, and Laurinitis still going pro this year?

Miami would definitely pick Malcolm Jenkins over Lauriniatis.

                  No Crabtree = fail.

I could see his stock falling once teams start to analyze him more and the system he plays in could present problems.

I just realized that he has Tim Tebow going #1 overall, which in itself, is stupid. Shouldn't it be obvious to him that they will be drafting a QB within the first two rounds and Vontae Davis to Detroit is also pretty dumb considering they just brought in two new corners.

Yeah they brought in Kelly and he fills a glaring need, but he isn't the long term answer. Lions won't go CB this year, but they could very well go there in 2009.

I don't think jenkins has the elite athleticism to be a top 5 pick. He might not even go top 10.

Yeah but it's top 10 overall and I could see them coveting a OT or a DE position more even though it's likely that Rod Marinelli would be fired.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that Jenkins actually improves from last year. (I thought he was the best CB who was eligible).

we can't lock in the lions to top 10 just yet...with a good draft class they could win 7 or 8 games which could put them at a positiont to take a CB that is the BVA
