        Though call.

Alexander may be willing to take less money and a limited role in order to land on a contender.

Or he may stick to the money guns and try a stint with a team like Tampa Bay who don't know whether Cadilliac Williams will even make it back this season or ever even be the same as he was his rookie year.

Chicago would be another team that might pony up some cash for him as insurance and to push Benson.

But i dont think he will sign before the draft. There are a lot of good runningbacks to be had for a cheaper price in the draft. But if you sign Alexander now, you can push off drafting one for maybe a year or two and target a different position.

I havnt looked at numbers, but how can they not have room? They are loaded w/ young players on rookie contracts or washed up vets, who can they possibly be paying?

I am aware that rogers and williams are still on the books.

Charles Rogers, Mike Williams, Kalimba Edwards, Shaun Rogers are all still on the books just to name a few.

Ernie Sims, Roy Williams, Calvin Johnson, Cory Redding, Jeff Backus all have fairly large contracts.

you are absolutely right. I had forgotten about all those top10 picks getting the money and the retarded contract that redding signed.

Why would you make this a poll?

If he is unwilling to take a backup role, he might retire.

I'd be ok with that if he wants to come for the vet minimum.
